Imagine the child's horror when the brand new batteries for Slithering Jake were dead.

Thank goodness for convenience stores that are open even on Christmas Day.

We did make it. There was a shortage on AA batteries, but lots of old, dust covered toys had AA batteries!

Ahh my neighbors....

They are so old that their Christmas presents for children were probably made from corn husks and muslin.


We managed. I called in the troops. I served an enormous dinner to my favorite brother!

I know that now...

But at the time,I thought it wouldnt be that hard,and it really wasnt. Its a stuck bolt that I cannot get loose on one and the wires of the gears on the other. But I got them together and everything. I am proud of that.
