Who is your favourite villain?

This is awesome! Thank you for sharing, I  HISHE, and can't believe I missed this...

Anytime! :) "Sound of Silence" is a masterpiece and Batman is, well, the hero we all need but not the one we deserve. lol!

He's also (with the possible exception of Lego Batman) the least interesting character in anything that's he's in.

And I still love him.

There's a game going round, badly describe a movie. I can't remember the Dark Knight one verbatim, but it's along the lines of:

Highly trained martial arts expert billionaire with extreme tastes in cos play, terrorizes mentally disturbed man.

I actually...didn't mind Justice League. But you could tell what work was Snyder and what was Whedon. It's terrible, don't get me wrong. Kinda fun terrible though.

Wonder Woman. Now that was a great film...it felt like Marvel though.

Batmand vs Superman though...holy shit. That was rough. Went to the cinema and came out utterly confused at how they managed to fuck it up so much. I tried to watch it again about two months ago and gave up after half an hour.

Haha, true. A lot of hardcore DC fans have complained that Snyder and Warner Bros have not given enough background story for the characters in JS, BvS and MoS. And it makes sense. Also, man, Lex Luthor is depicted to be a tiny whining jealous dud. Not how do the comics portray him and is supposed to be.
Marvel is like caramel cookies on a warm spring day. Even Infinity War(though a little dark) felt like that. For me the prime example of a superhero movie I enjoy is TDK and BB ( Bale batman ) ones. And recently Watchmen. I guess I like when the characters are gray and there is darkness, + great scripts.
Out of Marvel ones, I would go for Civil war though, and Cap. America movie(Winter soldier). :)

Fell off, laughing my head off.
I have to agree with you though. Lol! :D:D:D
But I still love batman character more than any other superhero.

Totally
But it's Batman's villains that make Batman.

I'm an unashamed Marvel fan boy. Infinity War was incredible.

As for back story? If I see Thomas and Martha Wayne get shot again I'll wail in anguish. And not of the "oh what a tragic waste of life" kind of wail either.

Yeah, I think, to each his own, I guess. But I agree that Batman's story is, by now, so overdone even it would bore me. But what about the other arcs in JS? Cyborg, Aquaman, etc. ? They are getting their stories now, after JS is out and largely hated by everybody.
Something that Marvel movies did so well. Very detailed backstories before they all came together.

Yeah Marvel have nailed it... Anyway. Time for bed. Night!

Yep! But I would add that Batman's follies also make him batman. Granted he is a millionaire (sociopath, at times, ) kid with fancy gadgets, but the fact that he is not without a superpower, technically(richness can be a superpower though lol), is what endears him to me. Everybody else has got something.

Anjelica Huston -- The Grand High Witch (also known as Eva Ernst) The Witches 1990

Hans Gruber (Alan Rickman) in Die Hard. Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker...

beachbaby took mine.

best villain in an action movie ever. HOF caliber, and Rickman was perfect in a movie that could have ended up as trash without him.

Roy and Pris, Blade Runner.

Good one.

I vote for unrepentant evil, so either Auric Goldfinger, or Yertle the Turtle. (Read both, tell me I'm wrong).

Compare and contrast :

"No Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"

vs

"Turtles, more turtles!" he bellowed and brayed. The turtles they followed, they came, they obeyed.

:)

The shark from Jaws. It didn't have a single line of dialogue through the entire movie, yet paralyzed an entire generation's desire to step foot into the ocean.

Emperor Palpataine, he started a war... with himself.... and crushed the separatists and the Jedi in the process

Jar Jar Binks was a greater villain. He turned hordes of rabid fans against George Lucas.
