Which author or authors are you favorite ones to read in Literotica and why?

I am fairly new here, but I enjoyed the series by Doug4Dirt, especially his series on Bonnie and Ron. The reason, it was HOT HOT HOT, over the top sometimes, passing certain boundaries and really visual sexual writing....

It sure did the trick on many a night when I was in the middle of an affair with my right hand.
How about any of you? This is my first post, so I hope I get to read some responses, so I can run out and read the authors stories, cuz I am feeling a certain urge to restart my affair again.

Dixon, of course...goes without explanation, I think. :D

*kiss on your irresistable nose, dixon dear*

In no particular order...Solzhenitsyn, Vonnegut, Kerouac, Herman Wouk and Dylan Thomas.

Hahaha Lasher...

Yea those are real hoots, they get me going too. Funny how boredom can get you off, isnt it?

be nice "Ms." chatmic, and maybe I'll tell you where the link to the Dick and Jane sex stories are...

Being Nice, on my knees, flower in hand, slippers in other hand....all for Lasher...

Can I get you something to drink?
Can I fluff your pillows for more reading comfort?

Can I have the site for Dick and Jane??
ME needs it.

I think she meant on the site, but since you brought it up:

All time faves: Kurt Vonnegut Jr. (the king of dark comedy), William T. Vollmann (a modern day Hemingway, only writes better), Harold Brodkey (the most technically amazing writer I've read), Leo Tolstoy (the king of the epic Russian tale, and his shorts are good too), Alexander Sozhenitsyn ("Cancer Ward" and "The Gulag Archipelago" are burned into my brain), Vladimir Nabakov (the most underrated of the Russian writers - a genius!), Cormac McCarthy (nobody - NOBODY - surpasses his descriptive abilities), Martin Amis (the modern-day king of sarcasm), Thomas Pynchon (whispersecret's worst nightmare, hugs :) ), Edith Whartin (a woman ahead of her time), Hunter S. Thompson (needs to introduction), Ray Bradbury (what an imagination)... I could go on and on and still forget somebody...

Current reads: Jose Saramago and Scott Bradfield.

OH, I sure as shootin' don't want ya to be nice to me. There's plenty of asses around here that need kissed...mine's not one of them...

Hey, I think I just saw Merlin and Gil...
*MUAH*

Ouch to all responses.
I was asking about Literotica and specifically erotic writing, not general literature.
You guys can be brutal.
I know how Creamy Lady must have felt.
I think I will just lay low, this is way too hard to take, my post was a geniune one, but for some reason, I am getting ream. Wow.

Awww...C'mon, tough guy, you gotta learn to roll with the punches. And if you would've been paying attention today, you would've seen someone (Laurel) mention that alot of times what you think is a great post evolves (or devolves as the case maybe) into something entirely different. It's what makes this place a wonderfully dynamic and mentally stimulating place to hang out.

And if you'll read the thread again, you'll notice that you were the one that made the first negative comment.

If ya can't stand the heat....

Well thanks for making me feel welcomed with a geniune post. I think I will just head on out of this BB for now.

If I wanted to be treated with dismissal I would just spend a night with my ex. You guys are really cold. That hurt.

To those that were nice to me, thanks, I really appreciate it. Everyone has feelings you know, some are even prone to have their feelings hurt.

Lesson learned.

I apologize if you felt "reamed" because the thread didn't stay on topic. You may or may not have noticed that many threads do not stay on the original topic, and sometimes wonderful conversations emerge from tangents. If that bothers you - if you're going to take that as a personal affront - then I really don't know what to say.

Personally, I listed my favorite writers because, as webmistress, I thought it out of line to take favorites. Also, I enjoy reading, and have been waiting for someone to start an authors thread for some time. If this is offensive, to you, I apologize.

OH, Christ...are we gonna get it now. I can smell the shit storm acomin'.... People are gonna see this and actually think he was sincere, and then all the crying and belly aching is gonna start.

*slips into rain coat and golashas* (How the fuck do you spell golashas, btw?)...

Ok, I'm ready now....

*waves*

buh bye now.

Ya know what-no. This "I'm leavin' because I feel unwelcomed sh*t", is just getting out of hand. I mean really, if you had any intention of leavin' you wouldn't continue to check posts-and then comment on them. Argh...people want to be treated like they have been here forever-and when we are not completely nice and polite, or just joke around, it's taken to "hurt feelins". Get over it, and lighten the f*ck up.

GEEZ. Back off you guys. Not everyone is as thick-skinned as some of you, which is even more reason NOT to shove them roughly out the door sneering and pointing.

Chatmic, don't go. Surely you can see why Laurel can't post her favorite authors. She doesn't want everyone to know she likes me the best. <cackles> I can see how you meant the boredom crack as a joking reminder that your thread was supposed to be about writers who excite you sexually. But sometimes jokes don't come across well.

Lasher is the Official Literotica Caustic Smart-ass. From his posts, it's hard to tell if he ever takes someone's feelings seriously. If you see that he has posted something on a thread of yours, get out your armor.

I'm not sure why Melody was so harsh. Unless someone is a chronic, "I'm gonna leave!" person, I think people should show a little compassion. Besides, CreamyLady wanted to leave because she felt ignored. There is a huge difference between that and what went on here.

So, don't judge the board by one bad experience with two people.

On topic:
I like Dixon's stories a lot. He really has a gift for depicting young people just discovering sex. I enjoy TawnyT's and Deborah's stuff too. I can't really recall any more individuals that really stand out for me.

When I'm writing sex scenes, I turn on myself. Does that count? Don't answer that. My husband benefits on those days. :)

I can't believe there's something you don't like about me, Deborah. I'm just absolutely crushed to hear that...*sigh*

Anyways... Not that I feel the need to explain to anyone (although I am feeling self-righteous and self-important at the moment), but I did make an attempt last night to make peace off the board (see the "Hawkeye leaving for Panmunjon" post). Unfortunately, the North Koreans and the Chicoms wanted nothing to do with it.

Now, if it means anything to anyone, I'd be more than happy to post the emails and you could see for yourself that I bent over backwards to be accomodating. Personally, I don't see it doing any damn good, and I think we'd all be better off realizing that there are some people in this world who need to take their Prozac EVERYDAY! - and that we should just move on.

A simple show of hands will do...

Nope, Lasher is a realist. I respect sincerity. I do not indiscriminately attack anyone just for the sake of attacking. If people would pay attention to what is posted on this board they'd understand that. Some do, others don't and too fucking bad for them.

I don't concern myself with anyone's feelings...there's nothing I can do about that. The only way someone on this board can be hurt by me is if they let themselves be hurt. I can only control how I feel, if others can't do the same...too fucking bad.

Now, in this particular case, I've looked back over this thread and don't see anything out of line. I understand that some of you feel the need to suck up to every new Name that pops up on the board, whether they post sincerely or not, just so you can feel better about yourselves. So be it. They're your lips, that's your business.... I'm just not built that way.

And, goddamn, I hate being goaded into saying shit like this. I shouldn't have to explain life to otherwise intelligent people.....

Haven't you heard? I have a couple mean bones in my body; namely dixon and lasher.

teehee :D

Chatmic, I know how you feel. I got jumped a bit when I was still learning the ropes, ignored a little too. It's a two-way street though, someone posting after me said "bigdog said it well" and my head wouldn't fit through the door anymore. You have to take everything a bit softer then it is written because there is one thing lacking from this BB and it is tone of voice. No matter how many smilies you use, the true tone of a comment is invisible without a voice to go with it. The best you can do is read everything a person posts and develop a flavor for what they talk like. I don't think Lasher was picking on you, if he was attacking you it would be REAL clear to everyone.

I will understand if you don't want to start anymore threads, but at least hang with us a while and pick your spots of interest. It's a lot more fun with you than without.

BTW, by request: galoshes

Ok, I lied, one more thing... You know what really grabs my nuts about this whole thing? I really, really, really, REALLY wanted to hear what Felix has to say about Solzhenitsyn.

Dammit.

I thought this was a nice place to meet adults for wit, humor, erotic talk and not a place to see how much people could hurt someone, insult them, treat them mean or see if we can make ourselves look good by putting someone else down.
Sometimes cruel is just cruel for cruelity sake.
If enough people posts comments that say they are hurt by insensitive and mean retorts and those that make those mean statements only comment that "they are tired of hearing from the whiners and babys" then maybe those making the mean comments should examine themselves, the sheer numbers of people saying that indicates a problem here.
And it should be examined as to why some people think this is a forum for being mean, rude, unkind to another person that has done nothing to them except come in and try to join the conversation.
No wonder people stop by and leave. Not everyone needs to be attacked for entertainment.

And Lasher: why did you feel it was okay to say "Chatmic has been full of shit all day?" I have only made jokes, said encouraging things and started a sincere post, and that gives you the right to attack me and say i am full of shit?
I think you are an angry meansprited person. I think you are not nice and that you are full of self importance that makes you think you are not responsible for hurting anyones feelings with your cruel statements.
I feel very sorry for you.
And even more sorry for those you "lash" out at.

I have almost the same exact words tattoed on my right bicep. Spooky, huh?
