Who is you favorite Comedien? (sp)

Bill Cosby - "Hey maaan, what chu wanna do that fo?" ~ The Slush Ball Story I love the characters he creates.

Robin Williams - The invention of golfing kills me but he's just wonderful in general.

Margaret Cho - :D

I love Robin Williams too. He's becoming more well-rounded as he gets older. I watched the Night Listener the other night and thought he did a fabulous job. Can't wait to see his newest one.

I also love Eddie Izzard. He's hilarious.

Steven Wright.

"When I was a kid, I wish my first word had been 'quote'. Then right before I die I could say 'unquote'.

"I replaced the headlights on my car with strobe lights, now it looks like I'm the only one moving."

"Sponges grow in the ocean. That kills me. I wonder how much deeper the ocean would be if that didn't happen."

Looking back a ways- Red Skelton. He still cracks me up every time.

Medium old- Cheech y Chong, George Carlin, and of course the late great Dennis Wolfberg.

More modern- Carlos Mencia

Robin Williams is OK, but he's getting in a bit of a rut lately with his comedy. His movie roles, especially some of his later works are starting to show his true range of talents.

Sam Kinison. He's the only one who could make me laugh so hard I'd cry. Richard Pryor was funnier consistently, with an amazing body of work. He was a true genius and it's a shame that both of them let drugs destroy their lives. Of the older comedians, I like Bill Cosby. He was funny in a folksy way that was great to listen to (and I know my parents would have NEVER let me listen to Kinison or Pryor.

Oh yeah, Robin Williams is right there...sort of. His early stuff was so amazing I thought he'd be the greatest ever. Unfortunately, I feel like he lost a lot after he got seriously involved in TV. However, he's a great actor with more range than any other comedian I can remember. So in a grander scheme, he probably is the most influential comic, hands down.

Gene Wilder and Richard Prior together in something like Stir Crazy has me in stitches, but for a single entertainer you can't go past Arj Barker.... and Arj and Poopy is the funniest thing I've seen in ages.
