I got talking with SM last night about "Man On The Moon," and thought about Andy Kaufman. The guy was a GENIOUS!!!!!!! GREAT movie, too.

He's pretty funny. Although, I remember him on Leno, and he was talking about his penis. At his age, I don't wanna hear about it. I found it more disgusting, then anything else.

Well - I have to think about that one. Depends what you mean about alive... ie, still performing?

Because, in his time, no one could hold a candle to Richard Pryor.

My Favourites!!! :) :) :)

Robin Williams

Jim Carrey

Billy Connelly

David Strassman

I love Robin Williams, Chris Rock's early stuff, and Bobcat umm... the weird guy from the Police Academy flicks, with the screechy voice. Can't spell his last name.

Agreed.

No doubt.

"Don't come drivin down here like you crazy. This ain't no residential district."

I wouldn't call him the funniest man alive, but I like Jon Stewart.

Well, I said Andy Kaufmaan, and he's dead. So...

Big mistake

Richard did himself, the result was a flaming mess, and hospital time!

That was well put - funny and sad.

(BTW Nasty - I think Andy Kaufman was pretty damn funny too.)

I LOVE his Carnegie Hall performance. When he turns on that recorder, and he's still reading. OUTRAGEOUS!!!!!!!!!

I'd have to go with George Carlin...although I don't always agree with his politics, his humor is intellectual and silly at the same time. He can reach people on different levels...

Has anyone heard Brian Regan...he makes me roll on the floor, but I rarely see him anywhere :)

maybe...

Bob Saget is an ANTICHRIST. Was it not written in the Bible, "And yea, he shall bring upon the world the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, and they shall be John Stamos, Dave Coulier, and those fucking Olsen twins. And much suffering and woe will be left in their passing"

Rowan Atkinson is hilarious, especially in the classic "Black Adder" shows, which are among my favorite shows ever. George Carlin is a master, tho he's gotten a bit too shrill and political for me lately.

If you have HBO be sure to catch Eddie Izzard the next time his show is run (it won an Emmy for best concert performance). He's a transvestite comedian--he appears onstange in makeup and a smashing ensemble with these platform shoes that a female friend of mine just LOVED--and he's terrific. He dresses like a woman, but he's not gay, he likes girls. He said that basically he's a male tomboy. His humor doesn't actually revolve around his choice of wardrobe, he riffs on all sorts of things, and he's terrific. Check him out if you get the chance.

I'm sorry, but this thread has been closed. Plese bring your tray tables to their upright and locked position, and exit in an orderly fashion while doing a silly walk. Goodbye now. Goodbye. Bye. Bu-Bye. Goodbye. Goodbye now. Bu-bye. Goodbye. Goodbye now...
