My son! Last night at 5 pm in a beautifully restored 19th century Bed & Breadfast my youngest son married his sweetheart surrounded by family and about 75 friends. It was a beautiful ceremony, full of love and laughter and tears. The best part was as mother of the groom...my job was just to look really good and smile and dance and flirt with my husband. (we danced very slowly...just had surgery...)
The Bride was beautiful in a long, silky white sheath of a dress...flowers in her hair....the Groom was very handsome in his black Tux...his blue eyes sparkling with happiness.
There was one really funny blurp...when the Groom, my son, was asked to repeat the marriage lines he did pretty good ...until it came to faithful...forsaking all others....he said I promise to be famous, taking all others....everyone fell apart...he was so embarassed....but she just sqeezed his hand and said I love you...he got it right the second time.
We danced and then had a beautiful seven course dinner...had champagne and wedding cake. They have gone to the mountains for their honeymoon....and I hope they are as much in love in forty years as they are right now.
