...Other than me?

read the first 50 pages of Phlosopher's Stone and never picked it up since. All this Potter nonsense drives me up the wall.

And I'm not usually one to stop reading a book for no reason...

Wow. You're a Brit, aren't you? Isn't it, like, unpatriotic or something for you to not care about Harry Potter?

British woman writes, IMO, a lot of crap books and gets lots of money. Yay for Britain.

Wow (again).

You might want to make sure nobody's reading over your shoulder when you say that.

:D

Anything that captures a child's interest in reading is good for me.

Hey, I love reading books Tolkien, Anne McCaffrey, George Martin, Dick Francis etc.. , but something about that book just put me right off

Just waiting for all this Potter hype to clear the cinemas. Then we can get to the next instalment of Lord Of The Rings.

Yes buy, it's a KIDS book. I mean, it's enjoyable for some adults, ones like myself that hang onto a bit of childish whimsy. But it's not meant for adults. lol Why are you suprised you don't like it?

Anything?! Does that go for those stupid Pokemon books too?

By the way, I love the Harry Potter series and have read all four of the books.

I second that. My middle son is very much into the whole Harry Potter thing and is more anxious for the next book than seeing the movie. I like seeing him excited abuot reading and having him come to me and give me the details on what he'd just read each day was a wonderful time for him and I.

Hey, anything that would get my little brother to actually BEG for the books, and then actually sit there and read them would impress me.

Reading one thing leads to reading another, hopefully.

No, we are talking about children's books.

Although I remember being pretty fascinated by the Kama Sutra books we found in my friend's basement when I was 12.

LOL I did and I'm not saying they shouldn't. I love it and I'm 27. I'm just saying I was surprised I loved it. I wouldn't have been surprised if I didn't.
