THE RULES: There are 28 bowl games this season. Your job is to pick each winner, but ALSO assign each winner a different number, from 1 through 28. If your team wins, you win the amount of points you assigned. Therefore, if you're really sure that, say, USC will spank Michigan, then you lay heavy points on the Trojans. But if you just can't decide between Texas and Washington State, you can put just a little margin on the winner and secure yourself a little.

(If you're confused, see my next post, where I'll lay out my picks and you can use them as a guide.)

The maximum score is 406. Highest score wins. Picks must be in by December 16 at 7 pm EST.

Now then: the bowls, in chronological order:

December 16
New Orleans: Memphis vs. North Texas

You're also missing a 14-point bid.

It does sound like fun, tb4p, but I know absolutely nothing about college football. I couldn't even tell you who the Heisman Trophy candidates were this season. I don't even pay attention to college athletes until they hit the scouting combines. :)

Don't let that stop you, JMJ. Hell, last year Liontamr finished second, and where he's from football's all fucked up. :D

As a fan and player of the great Canadian game of three down -110 yard - 20 yard enzone - only one foot in bounds - no fair catch - single point for missing a field goal - only pro league to have had every member team win a championship at some point - Flutie Garcia and Moon were stars here before the NFL - bigger ball - at least Rocket Ismail had a decent CFL careef - football, I have but one minor thing with all due respect to say to the fine man running this poll in my defence.....

Fuck you. :D

(I'll make my picks tommorow)

Liontamr, I think you forget the CFL's brief excursion into American cities, which ended when they realized few people down here give a damn about Canadian football.

However, the CFL's marketing department made shirts that said "Our balls are bigger." I can't believe it didn't catch on.

Nope: can't pick my Buckeyes. The best team they beat away from home all season was Penn State. But one can always hope.

Didn't they have virtually the same knock against them last year, then they beat Miami?

Our road schedule wasn't extremely difficult last year, but OSU did beat Wisconsin, Purdue, Illinois, and Cincinnati on the road. I think all those teams went to bowls.

I have a feeling the team won't really be into it, especially since they're returning to the Fiesta Bowl, which will just serve to remind them that it isn't the same this time around.

Wow!

You certainly backloaded your picks.

But I suppose, in a way, that's a smart play. If you're going to live and die with a few picks (and it might — last year the difference between first and last was only 9 points [granted, it was only a three-person race, but still . . .]), I'd rather let it ride with Oklahoma than North Texas or Bowling Green.

Yeah no kidding.

I definitely front loaded since I thought all the later picks were too close to call.

Here I go again, and again not knowing a whole lot about the entire NCAA picture other than just the main teams in the BCS hunt, so some of these picks my seem downright silly...

I'm putting all my hopes and dreams on Michigan pulling through. Of course I do so with bias since they are my favorite team and the only team I really watch on TV. Personally I thought Oklahoma shouldn't be anywhere in the area for a national title.

Oh, take heart, LT . . . you finished in the top 3 last year! :D

If you think Oklahoma sucks, why didn't you bet more on LSU?
