All right Sparky.. I'll bite. Especially if the pizza is covered in mushrooms, pepperoni and extra cheese! I've got no friggin' clue what the name means. I'm one of those strange parrot-head wannabe types and I took the name of a character mentioned in some of the Jimmy Buffett tunes.

I'm in my early 40's and in the process of ending a long marriage. I'm pretty well educated, have a strange sense of humor, and work full time as a nurse. I've lived in the south all my life and have no plans of moving anywhere that isn't warm and sunny for most of the year. I never met a dog I didn't like or a religious zealot that I liked. Generally, I'm a nice person but that doesn't mean I won't turn on a dime and let my evil twin come out to play. I have to stop typing now.... the voices in my head are telling me its time to go and clean my gun.

Hi sparky, I've been here for a few days and like it. Love the international flavour and believe that Lit is a self-organising system as is witnessed by Dillinger's thread today.

My interest in Lit, apart from the allure of sex and erotica, which is a sine qua non, and the superb mix of individuals, is that the level of activity is very high and therefore it counts as a complex system, for me.

As you probably know, we know a lot more about complex systems these days - you being a comp expert will know all about things like chaos theory and genetic algrithms - and here we have what it is all about at our fingertips. A laboratory of evolution itself.

I'm 52, live in Normandy, Scottish, married, straight, five kids, ex-alcoholic and sexually active. I expect I am one of Lit's older members, but I don't feel old.

I feel the characters of the people here come right through their posts and their stories, and I find some of the people great. I have already laughed a lot, a lot.

I can only be a very active visitor sporadically when my wife goes away since she is a full time job. I have not yet succeeded in sufficiently affirming myself in my desire to spend 24/24 logged on, perhpas because I know its much better for me to get out and about - and I do loads of work with practising alcoholics anyway. Other addicts too. That takes time and Lit is a great breath of reality after working.

I'd like to write a story but I'm a bit constipated.

I just noticed that I am now experienced, woohoo!!!, didn't like the caption of virgin, LOL, I lost that many many moons ago. ( about 30 yrs.) Well, Sparky, I'm not sure what you want to know.

I'm Caroline, and the Oh does not mean I live in Ohio. I came to Lit. because I wanted to use writing as a means to examine my own erotic growth, and I found the boards more or less by accident.
I like jazz, hockey, thunderstorms, thai food, a good margarita, cats, running in the park, indie film, big dark men and dainty pale girls.

I'm a 48 year old - immature physically (I look38) and mentally (I am actually stuck somewhere between 12 and 19) - male. I stumbled in her out or boredome and being horny. I decided to mix things up. I particularly found "lurkers" interesting. I originally sent out an APB for the many lurkers. (If you research and do the math - there are far, far more than we.) I didn't get many takers. But got enough to maintain interest. I tried to piss people off - which I still do. I met many interesting, and very knowledgable people here too. I sent my CD to quite a few of them and owe them and a few more my new CD which I'm working on. I wrote a few erotic stories here early (until I became bored with it) and actually won a prize, which (by the way Laurel) I never collected on. I hunted trolls for a while - to no avail. The oldies I'm familiar with I will not list because I will forget some and they will be slighted. I am a father, a former Marine. I lost a baby, a twin a couple of years ago. I lost my job - a good job - better than most - in NYC just recently. I have just interviewed with the World Bank for a great job and think I might have it. That's here in DC. I love old cars (I just sold a '69 Caddy and '72 Lincoln, guns, motorcycles (I've got a Z-Rex 1200 Kaw), and I'm a musician/song writer with a (currently) collection of 7 guirars and one bass. I have an 8-track digital home recording studio. I love life. I hate assholes - whom are most of the world. I've worked for assholes my entire professional life - millionaires, I seem to find myself always being their technical "right hand man." I am lucky. I am a product of the late '60's/early '70's and my attitude reflects that. I am pro-national security, pro-military and pro-legalization of pot. I am pro-choice and pro-death penalty. I'm 30 and live in Chicago. I'm a bartender turned social worker and am in school now working on my master's degree.
