Aurora reluctantly slid into the back seat of the waiting car, though she really hadn’t had a chance to protest since the man’s hand was on her arm pushing her along. Her heart jumped as she heard the door locks click and on instinct she tried the door handle, feeling a wave of panic and the door not opening at her touch.
She ignored the man in the front seat as he started talking, her mind racing with thoughts of what was happening to her and where they were going. It was not until she realized that his voice sounded familiar did she look up. She gasped when she recognized him as Peter, the business man from the plane that she had slapped.
“You,” she said, glaring at him through the plastic shield. “What the hell are you doing here?”
