If it was a guy, the husband might feel emasculated. "What do you get from him that you can't get from me?" With a woman, he'd know. And the fact they're friends for so long would enforce that. It's not just some fling, there are true feelings behind it. So I think, yeah, he'd be cool with it (especially if he had a side thing, too).

This is exactly why I'm not so sure I will be happy to find my girl with another woman. Even less one she knows for so long already. Because no way I will believe it is just a one time thing. A one time fling with a guy I would be able to understand, especially if I have been away for some time. But in this case it isn't a one time thing. Which would make me just as upset as when I found out she has been having an affair with a man for months. I think any man, once he gets past the threesome ideas, won't really care if the person his wife is cheating with is male or female.

Letting me join regularly will of course quickly ease that problem.

Although, FWIBGTU, most women are less comfortable with the idea of their man cheating on them with another man than men would be with the idea of their woman cheating on them with another woman. Presumably because most women are less turned on by guy-on-guy than men are turned on by girl-on-girl (which is not, of course, to say that women aren't turned on by it at all; viz yaoi fangirls).
