Hmm...maybe you just broke up and you can't figure out why they would have left?

Or maybe you were dreaming of reconcilliation or something but the ex isn't having the same dreams?

Normally, there's a reason why that person is your ex, but I guess I would be more upset if I was the dumpee instead of the dumper

I'm a pig. If my GF left me for some lady, cool np for me. Sympathy 3way down the road.

What if she left you for a man whose ass she thinks is hotter than yours?

I thought this was a poll about leaving you for a gay love.

Oh well.

I don't notice guys lumps or rumps.

TY though

It didn't hurt my ego when he started dating again. It did come as a surprise and it did give me pause to think about how our dreams had been dashed.

But, when a year after the divorce I found out he was dating her before I left him, yep, my ego was bent way out of shape.

Not really I have an ex of twenty years, and I didn't care what she did from the day we separated.

pls exactly!

Wow, I guess if I have to be left, I'd rather be left for someone else. That way I can say, "well, he liked her more." and shrug it off.

If he leaves you for nobody, then being alone is preferential to being with you. That's kinda ouchy.

Yeah that is what I was thinking.

Why would it be so ouchy tho??

This is why I voted "other." It's going to hurt either way, just not in the same way.

For me, I'd perceive them leaving for nobody as they just wanna escape from YOU. YOU are so bad they want out and don't care beyond that. (the "you" here is general, btw.)

If they leave for someone else, you can rationalize it way better (and ego, which was the question, is all about rationalization). You can tell yourself he left cuz her boobs were bigger or she made more money or was younger, or whatever.

Basically, you can make him leaving for someone else about HIS failings, but in the other scenario he leaves because of yours.

It's not ego, it's trust...

I'm a great person to be with, and if they decided to be stupid, they have to live with it. When this has happened in my life, the first thing in my mind is the trust I had in that person to be with me only. (sexually) I still have great friendships with my ex's, and if the person they chose to be with is what they needed, then I'm happy for them.

*Everyone has the right to seek what they need to make them happy, and noone has the right to obstruct that fundamental drive. :D

I don't care. I don't know what I'm doing here right now.

What the fuck is an Ex?

i vote other, my ex has found a lot of people since she became my "ex", im used to it. exs are usually exs for a reason.:)
