Which way is she spinning?

Is this a trick question?

Clockwise.
Unless you turn the clock upside down.

How do you figure clockwise? if you imagine the girl as a dial, looking down upon a clock . . . .

It's a trick question. She is actually spinning either way, depending on how you look at it. If you're left-brained, she's spinning one way and right-brained it's another. I don't remember which way was which, as I'm apparently balanced and see her moving a different way each time I look.

Try looking at the shadow at the base and imagining her front leg sweeping the other direction, if you want to get her to switch.

The Earl has the right of it-- supposedly, if you see her spinning clockwise, you are right-brained, and counter-clockwise means left-brainedness.

Me, I see her spinning opposite ways every time I look at her.

You'd assume that meant a balanced brain-- but, somehow, I'm not so sure about that

Counter clockwise for me. I can't manage to get her to spin the other way.

(I also can't manage to figure out how to turn the lights on in the room that she's in.)

Balanced doesn't necessarily mean level-headed...

I can make myself dizzy, but I can't make her spin the other way.

Seen this before and it's clockwise for me. Can't make it change either.

The way to get it to go from clockwise to anti-clockwise is to look at the very base of the picture, so that you can only see the shadow of her base foot. Look at it and then take your attention to the tiny toe of shadow that sweeps around from her front leg. Look at that and notice that it can look as though it's going left to right, as well as right to left. Then raise your gaze to see her spinning the other way.

It doesn't work for everyone, but that's the best method I've found.

It just seemed so obviously counter-clockwise to me, right off the bat.

I was able to perceive how others see her as spinning clockwise, but it just doesn't look natural.

It took me a good minute or two of staring to get her to switch, but she did. I can switch her back and forth now. Very cool. The trick for me is staring at her non-raised foot as the toes vanish around the other side.

Actually, I think she's really spinning counterclockwise because as I watched the GIF load, that's what the slow motion effect of having to wait on dial-up showed.

However, once the GIF completely ownloaded and started cycling at normal speed, she was spinning deosil and I can't get her to shift back to widershins.

Thas really weird, both ways, either by looking away and back again or at the foot as someone mentioned....what does that mean?

Any, a nice bod...sighs...

Ami....

Clockwise--but staring myopically gets her spinnin' counter-clockwise.

That means I'm using both sides of my brain--right? Right?

Hmmmm...

I think I'll have a lie-down until the feeling passes. :D

Countercockwise. Which means I'll never get any.

I see it counterclockwise. And then when I open it up again it's clockwise.

What's with that?

And Zoot - did you intend to type cockwise?

That's what I got her doing too. Each time I open up the thread she is spinning in a different direction. Though, if I look long enough I can make her go counter-clockwise, but can't switch her back to clockwise.

Very counter-clockwise; I can *kinda* get her to go the other way by looking at the shadow, but she always goes back to counter.
