Shrek 2: Name speaks for itself. If you cant laugh at a shrek movie. Chances are that you're dead.

Spiderman 2: Just wanna see what Sam Raimi does with the second movie.

Van Helsing: A new twist on an old story. Always fun to see.

Kill Bill Vol. 2: I'm a sucker for QT's film. And Kill Bill Vol. 1 was quite entertaining.

Shrek 2

And the Alamo...........Billy Bob Thorton looks exactly like Davy Crockett.
I wonder if it'll be P.C. like calling the Mexicans, "Soldiers of Color?'

Shrek 2

Van Helsing

I, Robot: It'll be interesting to see what Hollywood does with this Asimov book. Bicentennial Man was a good adaptation of his stories "The Positronic Man/The Bicentennial Man". I just hope they do as well with this one. Maybe one day somebody will back production for the Foundation series.

Shrek 2 completely...Haven't had a movie in a long while that would make me gigglesnort in a theatre...

That would do it! :D

Garfield is on the list as a joke right?

Personally I'm waiting for Troy.

Van Helsing & Spidey 2 should both be great. But, I understand the studios announced plans to release a total of 6 films in the Spider-Man franchise & NBC is developing a weekly series based on Van Helsing .... so, the potential magic of both may soon be forgotten.

I'm sorry but I, Robot looks like it's going to suck. I predict more of the same fancy f/x and stunts in place of a decent story. And I'm tired of Will Smith doing his Will Smith routine.

Ah, here begins the distinction between actor and movie star. While I personally prefer a film where you forget the actor is not the character, there are a larger percentage of moviegoers who only go because it's "the new Will Smith movie". Amazing, isn't it, how many high-priced celebrities don't do much acting.

Coffee and Cigarettes - I've seen it, I want to see it again when it opens.

Well, if you take a look at the screenplay adaptors, you'll see Akiva Goldsman, who's also got A Beautiful Mind, two Batman movies, and The Client under his belt, among others. You'll also find Jeff Vintar, who did writing for Final Fantasy, so it should be interesting to see what happens with this.

And let's hope Will Smith doesn't treat his role as Detective Spooner like he did so many other "cop" roles, like MIB and Bad Boys.

I like Will Smith. I think he's funny and charismatic. He's a good performer and has a strong screen presence. But he's always Will Smith. Even in Ali he was Will Smith doing Ali.

I really can't think of very many high profile movie stars that are successful at disappearing into their roles. Brad Pitt is one but only because he's a fearless character actor. He's never been leading man material and he knows it. Denzel can be pretty unassuming. Tom Hanks is good. Other than these few, no others come immediately to mind.

Those given, i'd say definitely Kill Bill 2, then Spiderman 2. Though I think both might suck.
I guess being the time after LOTR (so nothing really can shake my movie-world any more :) ) I'm not looking forward to a big blockbuster movie but rather a small, maybe indie, movie that really touches my heart emotionally. (Still haven't seen Lost in Translation, dammit)

Uh oh. . . I didn't like A Beautiful Mind, Final Fantasy or any of the Batman movies other than the first one. You're not selling me on this project. :)

I want to see Spiderman 2, Shrek 2 and Harry Potter. I'm going to pass on Kill Bill 2... the first just seemed so blah...

Well, then. Quit jabbering about how much you think it'll suck. Don't see, don't think about it, don't talk about it.

Completely defeats the purpose of the thread.

You're right. I, Robot is now officially off my radar.

IMO, at least half are so damn childish...I don't think I'd go see any. Maybe one or two I'll see on cable.

Aurora Snow and the Return of the Anal King. HA!

Hey, it's supposed to have 10 min of plotline.

I'm really looking forward to some of these movies myself:

Harry Potter and the prisoner of Azkaban
Love the books, and the two first movies. I just hope this will be as great.

Shrek 2
Oh boy, Shrek made me laugh so hard when I watched it. And I had to hold it back, because I was on a train, and sitting in a "quiet" area of it.

Thunderbirds
It'll be interesting to see what Jonathan Frakes get out of this

Spiderman 2
Liked the first one, and hope #2 will be good as well

The Day After Tomorrow
Trailer looks interesting

Kill Bill: Vol. 2
Haven't seen Vol. 1, so probably won't watch this until both are out on DVD

Van Helsing
Trailer looks interesting as well

Garfield: The Movie
Will probably wait until this gets released on DVD

I, Robot
Don't know if I'll go to the theater or catch it on DVD yet

The Bourne Supremacy
Liked the first one, so I'll probably watch this at the theater as well

Shrek 2 - the first cracked me up, still does when the kids watch it.

Spiderman2 - the first was good, I am interested to see if the movie stands up to the trailer i have seen.

Harry Potter- I loved the books, I loved the first 2 movies..here is hoping they translate this one as well to the screen.
