I recently submitted my first story. It's basically a hot-wife, bi-submissive cuckold kind of story. I posted it in "Loving Wives" because I had read so many similar stories there, but some comments seem irrate that it is in the wrong category. Where is the best location? Looking for friendly advise from reasoned experts.

That's an extremely factional and Balkanized category. One faction does enjoy your sort of story; several factions loathe them. Expect one or more factions to lambaste just about any story in that category.

You posted your story in the correct category. The problem is that you pushed two buttons that rile up that category's most vociferous trolls: the hot wife/cuckold paradigm and a bi-submissive husband.

That category is poorly defined and frequented by readers with wildly differing interpretations of what is appropriate subject matter. Almost any submission in that category is going to offend someone. If you are going to continue to write those types of stories, you must develop armor for skin and learn to ignore the hateful comments.

I read your story. I frequent LW, but don't go in for your type of story. I read your comment earlier, and so gave your story a quick read. LW is an acceptable (and probably most appropriate) category: the hotwife/cuckold stuff is common there. But, as others have said, and as you have seen, that type of story will get bashed by those who hate it (or hate that they love it...) in LW. They will cry "put it in fetish," and attack you, and your score is likely to be lower than it might otherwise be. If you don't have the thick skin for it, or want a better score, maybe post it (and future similar tales) in BDSM, Group or Fetish. Or, if the category is ever started (as rumored), in BiSex.
Frankly, there is nothing wrong with posting your type of story in LW; as you observed, there are many of that type of story. Some of the LW trolls will accept nothing less than total revenge fantasies against cheating wives.
Some commentors call for a warning label, as if they are children in need of protection. IMHO, that is unnecessary. That said, a quck line at the top of your story stating "This is a voluntary cuckold story: readers beware!" can warn off some of the unwary.
For what it's worth, I thought your writing was pretty good, and your storyline had punch. Not my kind of erotic tale, but I'm sure you'll find an audience.
Good luck!

I don't think a warning label's necessary, since a good title and description usually indicate that it's going to be a voluntary cuckold story. At least, I'm able to avoid those successfully using the title and description as clues, although my method could be generating a lot of false positives and making me miss out on some good Comprehension & Movement stories.

What is a Comprehension & Movement story?

I could not disagree more...

I can't tell you how many stories I've read in LW that appeared from the title and from 90% of the text, that I was reading a story I liked only to be blindsided at the end of the story.

LW is fine to post; however, because there are two diametrically opposed genres included in that label, it would behove you to do exactly what was suggested, at the top of your story write; This is a "willing" cuckhold story.

When I see that, I appreciate it because I don't waste my time reading a story I wind up hating in the end.

I am an author and most of my stuff was submitted in the LW category so I know how volatile it is. As a result, I'm usually pretty lenient with my scoring, but I read a story with no hint of it being a "willing" cuckhold story until the very end, it gets one star from me, and that's the only time I give that out.

What is a Comprehension & Movement story?

A type of story I've been having a hell of a time coming up with a label for. Basically, I don't much care one way or the other* whether a cheating wife story ends with reconciliation or divorce as long as she comes to Comprehend the gravity of what she did and they Move forward with their lives. An example with reconciliation would be Ari Ch. 02/03 by ohio, an example with divorce would be My Second Nightmare also by ohio, an example with some revenge and reconciliation would be Requital by Longhorn__07.

*Caveats about quality of writing in terms of narrative flow, characterization, spelling & grammar, etc. and about realism of any revenge and consequences thereof as well as ability to maintain willing suspension of disbelief apply.

LW is always such a weird category to traverse... you're correct that it belongs there, but I've found that a lot of the time it's best to put in an author's note at the very beginning like BTTap suggested, especially when there's a lot of different things going on in the story that the description sentence doesn't quite cover.

That being said... it's such a volatile subject that you're still going to get the people who are upset that you're (a) writing in that category in the first place (b) writing about wives who are cheating or (c) aren't writing the LW story line that they prefer. It's a no-win situation LOL.

The comments about the LW category are on the mark. I think, given the nature of the story, a posting under Fetish would be entirely appropriate, too. And it would get you away from the LW trolls who think nothing should be posted there except stories that are to their particlar taste.
