I have tried sex recently and found that things aren't lubricated enough so my g/f was hurting a bit, can anybody suggest the best type of lubrication to use? I havent used one beofre and need to know wehter water based is best or silicone.

Many Thanks

I'm a breastfeeding mother and also need lubrication added to sex. I've heard astroglide is the best!!

LOL@LK!!

I like the one that heats up better but I really don't need a lubricant if you do your job right, LK. ;)

I prefer KY. I"ve used Astorglide before and I can't quite explain it but it irritates me somehow. I mean I don't get a rash or anything but up to a day later my "sensitive area" feels itchy and just generally not good. Kinda like it's been rubbed raw but not quite. I dunno...having trouble explaining it. But I've never had a problem with KY.

I suggest trying KY and the Astroglide and see what works best for you and your girl. ;)

Try KY or Astroglide to see which one you and gf like best. I like either one.

Thanks EVERYONE for the advice. In the end I got something called Cherry Flavoured Wet (www.wetinternational.com) and it seems quite slippery and smells nice so i'll let you know how it worked after i've seen my gal next month :)

Many Thanks

Definitely try the Cherry Flavoured Wet. It's a good place to start. While I like Wet because of its consistency, the smell is relatively nice too. Astroglide is pretty darn nice & seems to stay slicker longer. KY can seem a tad goopy for me but then the only way you're gonna find out which you like is to try each. Get the smallest bottles of each or see if you can buy the small samplers at the local sex shop to experiment with.

Have fun!

hahahah we dont even need lube :D
That's what you think. Millions of women think they don't need lube, honey, but they're wrong. Take your rudeness elsewhere, too. It's not wanted here.

My favorite lube is Astroglide, but I've heard good things about Wet. One that I have to suggest staying away from is ID - it tastes terrible.

When I went to Target to buy some Astroglide I saw the generic Target brand for about a third the price. The contents are exactly the same. Since Target has a return policy I had nothing to loose. I used both and they seem to be exactly the same.

Thank you Etoile you beat me to it.

I don't normally "need" lube per se, I use it when I don't feel like taking the time to get really wet and I just want a quickie. Ha ha sometimes my body wants all the foreplay and I just want to skip it. :) Oh...and then there's anal sex....you just HAVE to use lube for that. And no saliva isn't good enough. At least not for me. :D

I wholeheartedly agree with you Etoile!

Punkgrrl18 in all of her arrogance might think it's a badge of honor not to want lube, but what's wrong with using lube?

As far as I'm concerned, if it's gonna enhance the moment then I'm all for it. If you don't need it, then so be it...but Punkgrrl's comments sting of an attitude that isn't helpful around here.

Although *I* personally do NOT like Astroglide, I am in the minority I believe. Might be my body chemistry, but Wet stays slick longer. Could be that we use Wet Platinum (oh god yes) though.
I have heard many many good things about Astroglide, and if you can stand waiting a week or two, go to their webpage... lemme see if I can find it...

ah. there. and they say 4 to 6 weeks. Takes less time in my recollection. Then again, I am free sample queen in my house. I can never remember.

Try out as much as you can before buying one big bottle. Some stores will have open bottles you can try a drop of on your finger.
That's why I bought Wet Platinum.

HA!! If I'm an old hag then you must be what? Like 3 years old?? Cause you certainly act that way honey.

Good lord...try to learn and take a little criticism once and awhile. If you can't handle it then don't dish it out.

oh boohoo you old hags! cry a river! wait you might need lube for that too!

Oh get over yourself!

We tried to help you with your cheap sex toy thread ages ago & you re-buffed every sound suggestion with excuses. We try to help someone with our experiences here & you left-handedly scoff at them for using lube.

What you mistake for old is experience & knowledge.

I have extremely sensitive skin. I have tried several lubes and all leave me irritated. Olive oil gives me a warm sensation but no irritation. It's always handy as well. LadyAura
