When it really comes down to it and depending on the relationship you have to look at it as if you want the other or the one you are with. If you find yourself or the other is the same towards another and the relationship is not open why bother being together? Most of have this operative thought process that views things and people for their asthetic qualities visually and mentally, but when we start crossing the "line" within our relationships, that is where all things must be considered or the split of the relationship to pursue another because the current other was not enough to keep that other from swaying and deceiving or leaving for the other.

Lust is only a temporary or fleeting moments and love will always prevail. Intimacy and love will allow a couple to stay together through thick and thin where as lust is an initial feeling. Over the long run lust should not be a factor in a relationship, but the building of comapanionship and intimacy will cull that constant desire knowing the one you are with will fulfill much more ideally...

I would have to go with LOVE. For several reasons,

1) Love lasts longer. Once you've had sex with someone you've lusted for, the thrill is gone.

2) Love is from the heart while Lust is from the groin. And lastly,
