Which do you prefer?

No, I was observing the way you ran KC through a couple of hoops over the Teflon thing, and trying not to make Teflon Dom jokes. Obviously, it didn't work....

It's Teflon Jean, get it straight!

Teflon is toxic to birds yup, and I have 5 parrots, so I don't cook with teflon at all.

Actually, I don't cook at all is probably a more accurate statement.

Air fresheners are also toxic for birds. If you have parrots/pet birds, neither should exist in your house in any form. *lectures*

A pot that is a bit easier to cook with or a pot that is a bit easier to clean?

I have a metal pot that has it's lid handle fallen off with the screw sticking out that helps us a bit to use what otherwise render the pot useless. It is also very easy to clean. In the other corner we have a creamic/pottery/whatever pot that has a slightly chipped bottom but the handle by no means has fallen off. The chipped bottom makes it harder to clean.

Which would you prefer to cook with knowing that you had to clean it after?

I have a pot just like that: no handle and easy to clean. I love it. Much prefer it over the handled ones that are harder to scrub.

Easier to clean because mine that are easier to clean, are easier to cook with....

No I'm not, and I didn't mean it that way either....

That is so not what I meant! It was just gonna be sticking my tongue out at you, but that wasn't enough characters... (Damn you Lit!)

I'm gonna go hide now.

Even though i have some new high tech teflon cookware, i find that i mostly use my old cast iron cookware. One piece was a gift to my mother at her wedding. The cast iron is relatively easy to clean and water NEVER touches them.

....and canaries and parrots taste real good when cooked in cast iron.
