I have two stories, one completed and one in the process of being written where I'm not sure which category I should aim for to get the right target audience.

The first is a completed story that I think might go in Loving Wives about a pair of hackers who start a web site devoted to putting wives in their place in order to find mysoginist guys who are not treating their wives with the proper respect, break up the marriages, and end up having sex with the wives (the tale follows one particular case of this and the various subterfuges they use to make it all work the way they want it to)

The second is a humorous how-to guide for supernatural and demonic creatures who want to have sex with humans. Basically dos and don'ts and problems to watch out for. (Warning to Elder Ones (especially Cthulu), human minds are much more fragile than you remember so tone it down if you want them to enjoy the hot tentacle loving. Why Gorgons shouldn't date heroes (they're unfaithful and tend to chop off your head during orgasm). How centaurs can overcome the horse sized dick, human sized pussy problem. And things of that nature)

Now the question is: which category do either of these most fit in and reach the audience that'd enjoy them?

Any help would be appreciated and I can pm the first story to anyone who wants to look it over first before saying for sure.

Yep, I think you got the Loving Wives one right. The other I'd put in Non-Human, because that is the aspect that strikes me as being the most prevelant. I don't think it would work, or go down as well, in How To.

Then again, I could be wrong. ;)

Nah, the second one would be Humor & Satire according to me.

The Loving Wives seems fine. :)

Oh yeah. I forgot all about the Humour and Satire category. Doh! And, I only just posted a very crap story into there yesterday. :D

Well, all I can say is that if you have categorized it inappropriately Laurel will do the kindness of recategorizing it to the appropriate section. At least that has been my experience.

Humor and Satire, certainly.

And I truly want to read this when it posts, Luc!

:D

Is ther a way to hange the category AFTER it's posted?

I have some crossover satire/loving wives stories that have caused a lot of objection in Loving Wives.

You can resubmit it - in the title space, put "edited", and then you can change the category it goes into....I think.

Luc - I wanna read it too!

You can treat the blues all kinds of ways, but it's still the blues.

~ Louis Armstrong

The problem is that the categories are rigid and the readers are very inflexible about what goes into what. My stories tend to be acress genre -- humorous, cheating wife, mind control, pregnant, fantasy. Heven help you if you post something tongue in cheek to the "Loving Wives" section. Too bad the description is not a little bigger to give "story codes"

Cheers
