Hey, remember when the fake news purveyors at Lit swore up and down that Hillary Clinton was the old crone at death's door, and what we needed in the White House was the vigorous, youthful, teeny-handed Donald Trump?

Here's Trump today, not only looking and sounding exhausted, but glancing around wildly to his left and to his right for Rudy Giuliani, not noticing that this very famous man he's known for decades is literally five feet directly in front of him:

Yes, the country is in fine shape. Carry on!

He's too demoralized after turning on the TV every day and being told it's not big enough. ;)

I'm pretty sure that underlies everything he says and does.

I try to avoid cheap shots, because anybody can trip on the carpet or mispronounce a word once in a while. But this just seemed .... strange. He looked legitimately confused for a second there.

My cheap shot is a nod to Spicer's own words during his press conference. I truly do think though that press conference was a very revealing tell - that Trump has spent too much time thinking about how he is being portrayed in the press and public (such as his ongoing feud with Saturday Night Live) and less on running the country. It's obvious he is thin skinned and perhaps it is already taking its toll on him mentally and physically. He is in for a long four years if he already cannot handle the criticism.

I suppose Rudy had just returned to the table after visiting the restroom and doing something "too disgusting. Don't say it, it's disgusting."

Mike Malloy always refers to him as Sean Sphincter, or just "the Sphincter."
