It's interesting that I keep remembering that in the first Bond iteration Fleming set it up that Bond had outside income in addition to his gov paycheck but most people don't know that he came from money. Even Skyfall doesn't seem to have people register than a landed estate means wealth at some point.

I vaguely recall seeing one movie in theater. Okay . . . didn't do it again. I never saw the interest.

The first ones with Sean Connery were kind of ok but the acting was terrible. IMO, the best Bond was Roger Moore. The genre had established itself and Moore had enough talent to make it work.

The last few Bond's are/were trash. The new (supposedly) female Bond is going to be a joke that will bring down the series as fast as woke Star Wars.

Ah. That's why I didn't catch it. That particular one was so dry, mechanical, and predictable that I couldn't watch all the way through.
