Synopsis.
Dystopian future and arranged marriage that works out well. He invents the warp drive.
Romantic 50%
Sci Fi 30%
EV 20%

It is mostly about the marriage but a good 30% is the sci fi element.

Sci Fi?
Romance?
EC? (because anything can and does go there)

The romantic angle wont piss off Sci Fi people? It is a much bigger part of the story and the sex is marriage sex. Not complaining. just want to put it in the correct spot.

Sci-Fi - as long as its a good sci-fi tale, the readership will be fine that it has a strong romance core.

Cool. new category for me.
Thanks for the advice all!

It really is mostly about the marriage but the sci-fi is more than two paragraphs. A lot more.

This is true. My Sci-Fi story has Romance elements and no one had issues when I picked that category. Barring confusion over a reviewer who couldn’t understand Don Quixote and X-Files parody (the leads react to a Faerie Alien Hybrid with godlike powers similar to how Mulder & Scully would react). Decent ratings before I turned off votes.

There's your answer: Sci-Fi. You can still get married in outer space.

I've posted SFF/romance stories in both categories. It can work in either. SFF is a pretty open-minded crowd; Romance comes with some strong expectations but that doesn't necessarily preclude sci-fi elements.

I'd agree with previous posters on SF/F as the safe bet, but you could take a look at my story "AI Era: Loss Function" as an example of a SF story in Romance, or search the category for others.
