where should i spend my spring break?

what are your favorite places to visit? what's fun to do there?

i'm really broke, but i simply cannot stand the thought of spending a week alone in ithaca when every single person i know is going to be gone. i'm trying to find fun, cheap places to go. any ideas? anyone? anyone?

I can't afford to go anywhere.

I go to my grandparents house...it's out of town in the country and I relax out there.

Swim/fish in the lake, hike on the trails, listen to the wildlife ( birds etc ) while reading a favorite book.

No phone there so no net, but no one can call you and bug you about shit.

I'd say come visit me, but there isn't much to do here either! Altho I will have some baby cows next week that need to be weined....

okay now for seriousness. everyone I knew that went on spring brake went places like acapolco or other such beaches.

but if your on a low budget, do somthing you've been wanting to do but normaly can't cause it is crouded or your studying.

go to the beach if you have one neer you, go to a park, a musium, amusment park (okay i'm nameing things that are in my city don't know if you have them where you are though) go to a wilderness part. or get a few friends and go campeing in the woods for a few night. belive me that can be fun if you have the right people, even if it's storming.

Just thought I'd let you know that a passport is NOT required for an American to visit our Canadian neighbors! I've travelled there plenty with picture i.d., ss card, a copy of my birth certificate and a valid driver's license (or picture i.d.).

In all the times I've crossed the border, I only had to show my driver's license, but had the rest "just in case"!

Before 9/11 you didn't need a passport to go to Canada, you probably don't need one now either. The drive to Toronto is easy and quick. It's a great town to visit. In addition to all the wonderful things that Rude described, it has great restaurants, shopping and more conventional entertainment. There are some great night clubs there too, the Canadians know how to party!

Last time I was there I went to a Morrocian Restaurant, we ate in a tent. The food was great and the decor was unusual and interesting.
