Where is a good place to buy collars?

Hey, I am looking around for a place that has a wide selection of collars. I don't want the metal ring ones, but rather something a bit more comfortable, as they would be on 24/7. I was looking at petco, and disturbingly enough, the walmart near me has a cute supply, but nothing that would work for a male slave.

I am into the graduation of collars and am going to simply start off with a normal, black leather collar that he can take off, so he has time to get used to one being on permanently. I know where to find some more long term ones, but if he works out, and this turns into the 24/7 live in relationship, I want to find a special, personal collar for him, that is perfect just for him.

Thanks for any feed back!

I got mine at www.extremerestraints.com they have a great range of products. I'm not 24/7 but the collar I have is extremely comfortable and has nice soft padding which is important if you are going to wear it for a fair length of time you cant have chaffing when you are being pulled around the room by your lead. Mine is also lockable which will give your sub a sense of supreme ownership. they also have lockable padded wrist and ankle cuffs

There is a submissive at this site that wears one of her Masters 'retired' belts converted into a collar. Its actually lovely and outside of the providence of having been worn by him etc etc I imagine the leather is very soft . I am sure a very plain appearance in a collar could be obtained using a 'preloved' belt. Animal collars are designed to go against fur not skin and tend to be very crudely cured on the inside.

Good luck with whatever you decide upon.

Well theres an endless amount of places to buy one online. Or if you feel like taking the time you could browse at the stores for collars that the general public wont really know is a collar. A simple choker would do, it wouldnt hold up to any rough play though. I have a public one and a bedroom one. The one I wear most of the time is a simple silver choker that we got from a clothing store. But our play one is leather with a ring, and we got it from Lovers Lane ( an adult store right around the corner from us), but they have the exact same one at JTs Stockroom

Not sure you need time to get used to one on a permanent basis. I had never worn a collar until he placed mine around my neck where it stayed except for when showering. If there is discomfort, it only serfves to remind the wearer of their position. As to where to buy, it is cheaper to steer clear of the adult outlets as they charge much more for anything you buy there which is often available elsewhere. There are ones intended for animal use which are well made, creative, and lined for comfort...not all dogs have long fur. :D

Wow, I like the selection on petsmart, I should check out some more pet stores for good selections as well. How hard do you think it would be to make the collars be able to be locked on?
