Stella's post on Neil Gaiman's bookshelf led me clicking from the article she linked, to http://www.whereiwrite.org , where a bunch of authors show off their workspace.

So I figured, we should make an AH version. Take a picture of the place where your imagination meets the keyboard (with or without the author itself in it, depending on whether you want to pose in person and if you also have to hold the camera - it's the writing-place that's important), and post it here.

Here's mine. Apologies for the crappy cell phone cam quality.

Yes, that's a couch behind and another couch in front of the desk. I like couches.

I like it. I'm coming to your place Liar and do my writing. I like that you have an extra couch to lie on and contemplate. What did you say you were drinking?

Kenyan coffee. Nothing quite like it.

Is that the coffee that comes from a certain wild cat's dung? Or am I thinking of something else? Yes I am, but Kenyan is good, but I enjoy Jamaican Blue Mountain.

Thirsty much?

Also, is that an old skool plotter I see?

None of your pics are showing up????

About the only time I get to write anymore is on my lunch hour at work...I've gotten to the point I can pump out 1200 words at lunch time.

I have yet to write a word at my desk up stairs. :(

ETA: Now the pics are showing..????

I use a laptop w/a WIFI stick, so everywhere is my writing desk. I do like sitting at the beach or a park, getting plot bunnies as I watch people.

Yes. I drink a lot of water.

And yes, those are two old-school printers. The small one has been replaced since I took that pic. The large one has been replaced twice as well, but by the same model ;)

I was wondering where that door was supposed to go?

To a closet ;)

Obviously have a "To Do" list I see. I hate those things. I want to kill who ever thought them up. They were a bad idea.

Nice and ambient. I like it, Liar. I would feel very comfortable writing in your space. My writing space is ambient enough, only with far fewer sofas (lol) and more white. PS. I will never make that mistake again (white furniture, that is).

I've been writing many places lately, thanks to the laptop. I'll try to take a couple pics for posting later...
