Where does fantasy stop?

Hello. Just a question really, born purely out of curiosity.
There are a lot of fantasy writings on here, by the looks of it by both male and female authors, ok no prizes as yet for observation but... i am curious as to whether the majority of this remains unfulfilled fantasy... or... do folk actually do some of this stuff. obviously some of whats written here is not so far departed from the 'norm' ... whatever that is? Yet when we're talking about fantasies of a non consensual nature, incestuous or fetish orientated... do people actually wish for these to be fulfilled? Or indeed have they fulfilled them? I suppose this kind of applies more to women than it does men, especially from the point of view of non consensual sex but i'd like to hear from anyone who has a view on this.
It's a funny old world after all.

Well, I only have two stories here, so far (and one was about Winnie the Pooh and a female Tigger), so I guess I shall answer the questions I have pulled from your post in quote form.

I'll start by mentioning how I am submissive. Most of the things that can fall into the BDSM category I do enjoy. I have acted out the "force/non consent" scenario a few times with men close to me, whom I've trusted, but it's always been a role play.

As for the incest thing, it has been role play only. I am not attracted to members of my family, but I have role played incestuous relationships with men I have been with in the past. It really can be a lot of fun.

As for anything fetishy or kinky, most all of my fantasies have been fulfilled. Before I die, I do plan on fulfilling all of them, though.

In general, the more violent non-consent, incest, and fetish stories are all written more to explore the psychology of why poeple do such things.

Some stories, notably incest and fetish, are written by people who enjoy such things themselves -- a few are even true stories.

The reason any author chooses a particular topic for a story are as varied as the authors and stories are. Catharis and sublimation are as likey to be the reason for a violent story as a desire to detail what wished to be real.

The people who read violent stories do so for as many, or more, different reasons as authors have for writing them in the first place.

there is no way you can genralize something as variable as author's and reader's motivations

I think that fantasies can sometimes cross over to reality and thats why we have pedophiles and rapists and murderers and etc........ I think some people don't get satisfied by the fantasy itself and need more stimulation to achieve it. I guess it all depends on the psyche.

That, right there, is true. Not everyone rapes, murders, or molests children to act out their fantasies. People who fantasize about those topics, anyway, already had a lil' something messed up in thier head.

i think that fantasys to do or have things done to u especially forced sex with violance come from haveing been on the receiving end of this treatment at least once. the ones who fantasise about doing these things to ppl where usually seariously abused as children or young adults. but as long as u kep ur fantasys confined to role playing it is completely harmless.

That's not always true. Many people have fantasies that can deal with these topics and weren't abused as a child and/or do not wish true harm on another person.

That theory doesn't really hold water. If something hurts you then your normal reaction is to avoid it.

The way I look at it is that people like paedeophiles don't fantasise until it spills over into reality, they already have that reality in their heads, but until it does spill over, manage to control it it. Once that reality is released, especially if they get away with it, the reality starts running out of control.

Fantasy is fantasy and reality is reality.
