A day or so ago there was a post by a troll called "sick fuk" or something like that about how he was hot for his girlfriend's 19 year old daughter. As I recall someone made some mention of incest. Plus I got a PM from someone responding to my attempt at marketing who was into son/dad incest with her (no thanks  ).

I am not condoning this kind of behavior, but it struck me that some people might not consider this incest. M-W defines incest as "sexual intercourse between persons so closely related that they are forbidden by law to marry".

Where do you draw the line? All of the following questions assume all parties are adults, all sex is consensual, and all parties are cognizant and approve of the sexual relationships.

Do you consider a relationship where a man, who is not related to either mother or daughter, by law or blood, having sex with both mother and daughter to be incestuous? Or just sick? Or just too plain weird for you?

Why? Justify your position.

If that is incestuous, then how about a man who has sex with a woman, then her sister? What if he is married to one sister?

What about a woman who has sex with two brothers? Cousins?

If this is incest, why would you believe it is incest if none of the parties that are having sex are related, and if they had sex alone, without the third party, it would not be incest?

If not incest, but sick, why do you think it is sick?

I don't consider an incidence where people are not related by blood or marriage to be incest. My sister married a man that I'd dated a couple of years before. That's not incest.

Whether I agree with it or not, if the sex is between two consenting adults, who are aware of the relationship, and willing to deal with the consequences of their actions, it's none of my business. I don't think they should have children, and I question whether in a case of a much older relative, the younger one can actually GIVE consent.

I am not a doctor or scientist, but when members of the same blood family have sexual relations resulting in babies, the genetic makeup becomes twisted and after time certain genes become more dominant and irregularities that would have been " culled " by being mixed with genetic make up from outside the family bloodline, are more and more pronounced with each new generation born.

A single happening of incest obviously is not going to cause this to happen, but I think this is how my college professor explained it in laymans terms to us.

Personally, I don't care what people do behind closed doors (assuming the parameters you set). I don't consider a woman having sex with two brothers to be incest, unless the two brothers are fucking too. Same opinion on the different variations, including having sex with a woman, then her daughter (or son).

Realistically, it would be intelligent for people interested in engaging in this behavior to know what their state laws are (assuming US residency). All the states are different. Some call sex between parents and children incest, but not grandparents and grandchildren. Some call sex between uncles/aunts and neices/nephews incest, but not cousins.

My .02, as always,

In terms blood relations, I wouldn't condone it for the psycho/social reasons as well as the potential genetic reasons as SV just discussed.

However, in terms of the scenario provided, a person who has sex with the daughter of his/her significant other is not as Black and White for me.

What is the relationship between the two? Is the "adult" in an emotional position of being the "child's" caretaker? Is the relationship with the child's parent a long term, serious, live in relationship or just dating? What are the intiricities in terms of the family's interaction?

These issues combined with many more color the issue to varying degrees.

A step parent have sex with a step child could be considered incestuous...although it is called sexual abuse. The reason for this has to do with the emotional dynamics involved which can be very damaging for the child. By child, I mean to say youth under 18 yrs of age.

Well, I am tired and not making much sense.

Good night, lit!
