snow, green, snow, green

At the moment, we have green. Later today, it is supposed to snow again. Not much is expected, maybe several inches.

If not snow, then some rain. Snow level is 6000 ft, we live about 9000, so who knows.

The variety makes for great living. I would not trade it on a long term basis. We have a winter beach front home in California that we visit on occasion, and a family retreat townhome near our "families" in NW Oregon.

Litchfield Hills

The picture at the linked web page is a couple miles from our house. I would post the scenic, rolling hills, daubled in autumn's finest colors, but those can be found by the thousands.

Today Connecticut has more forests than it did during the revolutionary war. I think we forget that this bucolic country side was, during the 19th century, such a major manufacturing area.
