Protest the national anthem and flag...

It speaks more about what you are here; and the comment becomes most probably correct.

Why do you hate The Constitution, The First Amendment, Free Speech and America?

The Prez and the rest of us have a right to free speech as well.

I'm not worried about him executing his rights nearly as much as him executing his responsibilities. Not to mention him being responsible in the execution of his duties.

YOu know Kapernick isn't protesting the flag or the national anthem, right?

They think freedom of speech means freedom from criticism.

The President called for the firing of the NFL players for exercising their rights. The Prez and the rest of you all's freedum of speech is not at risk of similar retaliation.

And it is not the flag or the anthem that are being protested against any more than Rosa Parks was protesting public transit.

Those who make peaceful protest impossible will make violent protest inevitable. (JFK borrowed and altered)

Of course you idiots have the right to free speech. That is the point of this.
If you have it, athletes have it. They do not deserve to be fired or their mothers disparaged by the president because of it. THAT is the fucking point of yesterday's actions.

you're crediting him with too much comprehension

this protest is about drawing attention to the need to uphold america to its highest standards, using their constitutional right to peaceful protest. seems to me that this is something to be applauded and desirable! definitely not something their POTUS should be calling them 'sons of bitches' about.

I've run across the same dilemma in all of these threads...

Everyone is so sure of what they are not protesting, but no one is willing to explain just wtf they are protesting.

See?

Nothing but a general subjective statement, but offering no details, but I guess this is all that people who do not even fucking live here have to offer...

Good point.

Agreed. People with a public forum have the right and responsibility to use it as they see fit.
You do not correct a wrong with another; especially of this unpatriotic type.

Yes, changing the subject is your best out indeed.

You really are dense, aren't you?

I've heard often from the White House press secretaries that President Trump speaks for himself. I heard a congressman say it again this morning. I believe that it is true. The President no longer speaks for the American people. I doubt if Donald Trump has ever claimed to speak for the American people.

I hope Kim Jong-un is reading this.

Maybe Kim and Donald can go have a cage match somewhere and yell their incoherent ramblings at each other and leave the free people of this country alone.

It’s not a matter of being willing...they can’t explain it, among other things.

I see the poster boy for Dunning Kruger is at it again.

So if you agree with the Speech it is Right. But if you disagree with the Speech it is wrong.

What?

The president can say what he wants. He found that kind of protest offensive to the country. Best you can do is consider it his opinion and disagree. And yes, if it was my team, I'd fire them.

What you, and the slippery mentals in this thread surfing on butter, do not get, is that you can protest in favor of BLM against cops etc. absolutely.

But when you do it in this fashion, disrespecting a national anthem, pledge of allegiance, its either treacherous or profoundly stupid; and chances are its generally both. And its nothing else.

Elements which limited your creativity to protest better and more impression-ably and effectively.

When the reaction of a prez to a citizen expressing their 1st amendment rights is that they should "be fired", that prez doesn't represent the United States or it's constitution.
