I've been in the confidence of several online assholes where it was an act/persona.

So I'll have to say I do say that on occasion. It's easy to be an online asshole for fun when you don't give a damn. But the ability to be a dear friend in confidence is rare.

So I do buy that from time to time, and I do say it.

We are all characters here, some play characters closer to their real personalities

I grew up with one side of my family from the deep south. Many of my elder relatives said some of the worst stuff you'd ever want to hear about racism.

However, they loved me and I respected my elders and although I made clear I wouldn't discuss racism from a young age even with my elders, they respected that and kept it out of my hearing (mostly)

But I find it easier to put it aside in a Lit poster probably because of that tightrope.

My charming adorable osteoporitic great aunt from Louisiana (bless her heart) gave a wonderful tea party, but the stuff that came out of her mouth...

So I'm just more capable of separating it out because of family practice.

I think the most obvious assholes are the ones that are probably Literotica's oldest and most beloved posters, but I don't care too much about who is friends with whom since it has little to do with me.

I think of racism and bigotry as mental disease.

And I try to be more understanding of that. There are so many ways upbringing and brain chemistry affects a person negatively. I am not God. I can't fix heads. I can't even fix my own head. A little humility before nature and nurture is what I try to show.

Sharing any private info with anyone is always a major risk
I censure any poster I see attack another on the boards, or hear of it from the one attacked
I have no patience for that
