INSIDEYOURMIND said:I read this article yesterday with particular interest. The article I read had a photo, which I have attached. I travel to schools and groups in my area doing snake education. The issue is that people get snakes, and then when they get big, they can't handle them. People regularly release them into the wild, or just leave them when they move!
My slave and I have 7 snakes in our home including 17, 14, and 11 foot Burmese Pythons. They are contained, and not allowed to roam free.
While we enjoy these as pets, we are responsible owners of the giants, and regularly tell people that they do not make good pets due to their size as adults. Everything gets bigger as they grow, food, cages, poop, etc.
Reptiles make great pets, just make sure you know what you are getting into. I have also attached a few of our snake pics.
He says that he has one back at his home that's so big even he can't pick it up.
Well, i have to agree, that would do it for some.Master Sensei said:I haven't kept snakes since I was bit in the face by a boa constrictor. It's a long story, but suffice it to say that something like that will sour a person for their pet.
The python/gator pic is nothing short of awesome.
When that sticker was first put on the rear window of our car, i had people slowing down beside me on the highway and just staring. i always forget that the snake sticker is there, and mistakingly find myself wondering what the heck they are staring at ..... We've decided they MUST be looking for the snakes in the back of the car.INSIDEYOURMIND said:I thought you folks might get a kick out of the rear view of our car!
