When to buy a vibrator

I have been experimenting with masturbation for a few years now just with my fingers. I kinda want to buy a vibrator, but I don't know if it will be worth it. I pass a sex store on the way home form work and i am tempted to go in and buy a vibrator but I don't know if I should. Are they really great?

Unless you really curious to check out the store you should look in to online purchase

They're fun but

I'm with you, my own digits work just as well or better. In the absence of someone else's.

I have tried a few over the years but my fav of all time is the 'Silicone Extra Double Dong Arouser' from California Products. It cost a small fortune but I get enormous pleasure out of it. It is very large but soft and has multiple actions. Apart from vibrating, the head moves around in small circles and inside are these small ball bearings that rotate. If that wasn't all it has a clit stimulator and I can use any or all of these functions depending on what effect I need. It came in a box with a second one (without the clit stimulator) and they connect back to back so when a gf comes over we can sit face to face and pleasure ourselves at the same time. I strongly recommend it and wish I had the Australian franchise! (Aussies, you can get it from SexyLand stores)

It depends on the person and the vibe.

I  my vibes (which I purchased online after doing A LOT of research) because they're an important component of my best orgasms, but not all vibes or people are created equal.

Your best bet is to try one or more time-tested multi-speed vibes for yourself. For under $10, you can get an egg/bullet vibe. For around $20, you could try a rabbit vibe. For under $60, you might try my favorite multitasker, the Hitachi Magic Wand w/ 2 attachments.

Adam & Eve offers a 90-day guarantee on it's toys. It's not the cheapest site, but the prices aren't bad, and if you end up not liking the toy within the first three months you can get a full refund. So, if you're really uncertain or planning on buying a pricier toy, that might be a good site to look at.

OH heavens! The thought of buying a pre-loved vibrator is just too much!!!!

My thought is if you are curious go for it. They will be cheaper online, which is probably better if you aren't sure if you'll like it. But the store probably has some stuff on clearance that will be cheap. Wherever you get it I do say try, because you'll never know if its good for you if you don't.

If you get a vibe that will stay in place without you holding on to it, that leaves both hands free to play with your nipples.

You have been thinking about it....do it. You will never look back.

Vibes add to all sorts of sexual experimentation and your own personal enjoyment.

I guess you're referring to A&E's return policy. Obviously they don't re-sell toys that are returned opened, anymore than Costco or the grocery store re-sells opened food items or products that have been returned because they are bad, broken, etc. Reselling used items would be a great way to kill a retailer's customer base really quick.

The fact is, most people won't return a toy they simply don't like and toy retailers generally have hefty enough profit margins (the markups are often 100% or more!) to write off toys that are returned due to customer dissatisfaction. 99% of toy retailers don't offer a satisfaction guarantee because they are greedy or don't want to deal with returns, but the ones that do offer them do so with very little risk and reap big rewards in terms of differentiation and customer loyalty.

I definately disagree. Sure, online is nice, but it's still not as great as in person.

Well, it's not just about being greedy. Taking returns also opens them up to lawsuits. Afterall, someone's going to be handling the return and there's always a chance they could potentially catch something from the toy even with proper protective equipment.

Has anyone ever used the trojan brand one? I think its a finger thing, it looks interesting

This
says it's $20 and the batteries only last 30 mins. You'd probably get a better deal with the Fukuoku or another small, inexpensive vibe that takes regular (i.e. not watch) batteries, which aren't rechargeable and can add up quickly.

From what I've seen the stuff from condom brands is sealed, so once its dead its trash.

If you care about your privacy or your credit, you'll purchase locally with cash. Credit card companies are watching your purchases and will start restricting your credit based on those purchases when stacked against other creditors who have defaulted. While you might think that you're anonymous online, the moment you use a bank card of any kind, your entire credit history is revealed to whomever wants to look.

Just the other night on the local news there was a story of a 29 year old man who had gotten married and went away on his honeymoon. When he returned his credit limit had dropped from $10,000 to $3,500 with the explanation that similar use of a credit card had resulted in defaults.

Not saying that this sort of thing will happen for buying "personal products", however, the credit companies ARE watching what you purchase, regardless of where you buy whatever product you purchase. If you want anonymity, purchase locally with cash.

Mail order is a good way to go. The prices are lower as their overheads are less than a sex shop. Everything arrives discreetly wrapped and the company name on the packaging will be innocuous. I'd highly recommend investing in a vibrator. The rabbit ones are popular as they have clit stimulators attached. If you're in the UK I can recommend a couple of online retailers.

I'll concede that it's cheaper, but it's a lot harder to decide when you can't actually see the product. If you go to a sex shop, you can look at how big it is, what the texture is like, and the one I go to even puts batteries in a vibrator to test it before it's sold, so you can even see how strong it is. You can't do that through the mail. Plus, some shops actually have useful sales people, some of which have, well, lots of experience. :D

the first vibrator i got was very basic, I could turn the intensity of the vibration to what I liked and it was Ok But I realized I didn't like the vibration inside of me... So I then got a dildo and a bullet... To this day the bullet is my favorite I can use it alone on my clitoris or with my dildo Or with my partner :D He also enjoy the bullet a lot.

It will be a trial and error thing until you find what suits you and what you like!! But by all mean try it!!! I say that every women who respects herself owns at least one vibrator ;)

I really don't want to purchase something because I don't want anything shiped to me no matter how discreet they are. I found this one online and it looks nice. Is it a good one?

Well, the good news is it's pretty much a standard "slimline" vibe that you could get in any local store.

You might want to reconsider the material (it's a good idea to know what your toys are made of so you know how to--or if--you can clean them properly, and "Luv-Touch" doesn't tell you anything) and the very wimpy 1 AA battery (more power that you can turn/tone down is better than too little power), but if you really like it and think it looks like a great deal for you, see if you can find any other reviews on it and maybe give it a shot.

Have you gone into you local store(s) to see what they have? If not, when you do, take note of what looks good, then maybe check those out online. That way you can get reviews and not waste your money on something that hasn't worked for anyone (there are A LOT of crappy toys out there!) or is marked up like 1000% locally.

Can you really not even buy from an innocuous site like Amazon or eBay? Is someone at your home in the habit of opening your packages or something? If so, do you have a good friend who would be willing to receive a package for you?

You could try 'www.tootimid.com' they ship with a totally different name that is totally non-adult oriented.

Plus they have an EXCELLENT selection ;)

Look for one of the sex stores for ladies.....they specialize in giving advice to women. Personally I love the variety it's added to my sex life. I now have a full arsenal of sex toys one for every mood!
