Read somewhere that there are ways to spank, that involve a sort of upward spanking motion, to make it more sensual, as the motion then moves more than just your ass that way. I've felt this a little but have never had the full, prescribed spanking as described in the literature -- unfortunately. Would love to have more info about how this is done.
As to humiliation -- probably anything from where you are when you get spanked (er, in front of an open window? can you get arrested for that?) to what you are wearing at the time (perhaps a French maid's uniform in your case), to things like having your legs spread for full exposure. Lots of stuff has already been said, so I will just add that my spanking style is not maximum force combined with maximum speed.
