There's been some talk lately on the PM Gossip Net that Lit is going to shut down its Bulliten Board.

Personally, I don't think that's going to happen and the gossip is just that, gossip. The boards are obviously an integral part of Lit.

But hey, then again, you never know. Stranger things have happened. Maybe journals like Blurty are the interactive BB's replacement, the isolationist way of the future.

But the real question for discussion is: When Lit Closes For Good....where will you go?

Im dead serious. Lit is one of my main sources of communication with my best friend and my boyfriend. So I could either bring him here...or bring her there... Which do you think is the more logical choice????

Thanks to all those in my Goody Two Shoes Club, especially the ones responsible for reporting various things recently on this board, there has been a hidden observer who is not entirely happy with the manner various things to do with the terms and conditions of contract agreed upon when the owners of this site purchased Jelsoft software.

Maybe they should have made themselves accountable to the public like you suggested Lancecastor.

Bonjour Monsieur!

First I have to transform approximately 138 yards of fabric into fabulous draperies for far too many rooms. Paint my whole basement (yikes), reupholster 5 pieces of furniture, and strip the last dregs of cutesy, previous owner wallpaper from two bathrooms. That's for my daytime work.

In the evenings, I have to transform 127 pages of blank paper into a sweeping ghost story that an audience would actually care to view, and where I finally learn that I'm not supposed to be the director so I'd better quit with all the camera directions.

In other words, live a life.

Ack, I HATE having to agree with you, but that is exactly the answer I was going to give! Ambro would have to beef up his system of servers because he'd be buried with new members.

The real question, Lance, is what YOU would do if Lit shut down. You seem to spend most of your waking hours here- don't you have a job? What would you do with your 10 or 12 hours a day of extra time if Lit were not here for you?

I think the GB is very much an InternetRetro thing, kinda like "80's Nite" at a bar in a medium sized US town.

Lots of people with surly attitudes like Clamorilla, PC & Miles, popping off one liners that nobody really hears after a while. Bad haircuts and watered down drinks.

I suspect there are pure debate boards that are horribly dull and I know there are pure flame boards like e s c r e w.com for the younger set and lots of sex boards, I'd imagine.

Do you think journals like Blurty will replace BB's?
