When Kevin met Hailey...again(Closed for The_gladiator)

"I helped run a small clothing store a couple blocks from my apartment. I was desperate for a job and happened to be shopping there one day...the owner heard my talkingon the phone to someone about my lack of job and offered me a position," she said with a smile, remembering that day. "Of course...now she complains that I'm there way too much. I very rarely take time off for myself."

Kevin smiled, "So what did she say when you said you were going out of town? did she ask if you were ok?" he asked teasing.

Hailey laughed a little as she nodded. "Yes...and all but shoved me out the door. She's been trying to get me to take time off for a while now. She said it's crazy that I'm at the store more than she is," she replied, grinning at Kevin. "She'll be sad to see me go...but I know she'll be glad that my reason is one that makes me happy," she added with a warm smile.

"I try anyway." he said with a soft smile as they pulled back into his driveway and he got out of the truck and stretched. "So what are you cooking for dinner oh ye city girl?" he teased coming over and draping an arm around her shoulders as they walked towards the door.

She smiled at him, leaning over to give him a quick kiss before she got out of the truck. "I do believe you mentioned fried chicken earlier," she replied, wrapping her arm around his waist as they walked towards the house. "If you've got the chicken, I can definitely make it."

He smiled, "Sounds good, if you know how to fry it that is." he teased as he unlocked the door and moved inside putting the leftover drinks back into the frige. "Yeah there's chicken in here." he confirmed opening the freazer and pulling out the chicken out to thaw on the counter.

"Of course I know how to fry it...I didn't survive on just take-out food in the city," she said with a laugh, nodding when he pulled the chicken out of the freezer. "As soon as that thaws, I'll start making dinner," she said with a smile, setting down the basket as she toed off her sneakers.

He smiled and nodded cracking open another beer bottle and walking out to his back deck, to sit on the old porch swing he'd found on the side of the road. He had fixed it and painted it, and now it actually looked respectable, and was nice to sit on. "You Can join me." he called through his screen back door.

She grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge when she heard him call out to her, smiling as she made her way out to the deck. She laughed softly to herself when she saw the porch swing, wondering if things could be any more perfect. "This is nice way to relax," she murmured with a smile as she sat next to him, sipping her water as she rested her head against his shoulder.

"Can you believe someone actually threw this out?" he asked wth a smile, "Of course it didn't look this nice, but still, what a waste." he said with a chuckle, "And yes it is a nice way to relax, especially with you with me." he said smiling down at her.

"You did an amazing job fixing it up," she told him with a smile, quite sure she wouldn't have known it had been in bad shape if he hadn't told her. "Mmm...I'll be happy to relax out here with you whenever you want," she added with a warm smile as she lifted her head to brush her lips against his cheek.

"Man, you get any sweeter, you'll melt in the rain." he teased stroking her hair and poking her tummy with the hand holding his drink. letting her know of c ourse he was teasing.

She laughed at his teasing, nudging him with her shoulder. "Someone's gotta be sweet around here," she teased back, sticking her tongue out at him. "But if you want, I'm sure I can put together a bitchy city girl routine," she added with a laugh, grinning up at him.

he laughed, "Been there done that. lets just pass, ok?" he said with a laugh, not meaning her but someone else, "And don't you stick that tongue out at me, unless you're going to use it." he said laughing.

"I have a feeling that if I used it, we'd forget about dinner all together," she teased with a laugh, nudging him with her shoulder again. "And I gladly pass on being a bitchy city girl...not my idea of fun," she added with a smile, nuzzling her face against his neck as she relaxed with him.

He laughed, "True we might, but those chickens will take time to thaw." he said smirking, teasing her his left hand stroking her hair as she nuzzled him. "I love having you so close to me." he whispered out of the blue.

Hailey laughed softly at his teasing, pressing her lips gently to Kevin's neck. She opened her mouth to make a remark, but was turned speechless when she heard his next statement. "I love being so close to you," she whispered back as she closed her eyes and rested her head against his shoulder, emotions swarming her body yet again.

"So guess I will just have to wait till after dinner then hmm?" he teased not meaning to lighten the mood again, but needing to say something unsure what to say next. He probably should have just stayed quiet, and held her but he didn't. But the way he said it, sounded disappointed, but the way he held her suggested it was a joke, for he didn't seem inclined to let her move away from his embrace, even if she was inclined to go down so to speak.

She laughed softly again as she shook her head a little, pressing her lips to his neck once more before she lifted her head to look at him. "You had a point before...it'll take some time for the chicken to thaw," she murmured, leaning forward to kiss him softly. "I think I can find a few uses for this tongue of mine, if you're interested," she teased quietly, giving him another gentle kiss.

He smiled lazily at her, "Mmm I might be able to be convinced that's a good idea." he teased returning her soft kisses stroking her hair and down her back.

She grinned at his teasing as she continued to kiss him, resting her hand against his cheek while she felt his hand stroking her hair. "I'm sure I can find a way to convince you," she replied with a gentle nip to his lip. "We should probably go inside though...wouldn't want one of us to fall of the swing, now would we," she said with a soft laugh.

He nodded and stood up a bit sad to leave the swing and this moment, but yet wanting more from her. It didn't matter how many times they were together sexually, he found himself wanting her more and more.

"Maybe we can come back out here after dinner," she suggested, standing up as well. "Cuddle close and look at the stars," she added softly as she wrapped her arms around his neck, leaning up to kiss him again. She had loved sitting and relaxing with him on the swing, something she hoped they'd do more of in the future.
