When Kevin met Hailey...again(Closed for The_gladiator)

She nodded, laughing softly as she squeezed his hand again. "I certainly was talking about that...I just didn't know if you'd really want me to," she told him, though she knew now that he did.

"Why wouldn't I want you, want you to stay, I can't stand to lose you again." he said softly, "The longer we're together the closer it seems we get, and I don't want to lose that." he said softly.

"I don't want to lose you either. I was just afraid that you'd think about what I'd done to you and decide that you changed your mind and didn't want anything to do with me," she admitted softly, though deep down she knew her fears were silly.

"What you did to me?" he said teasingly, "I'm supposed to regret you seducing me last night?" he asked, "Crap, I'll have to work on that. Can I get back to you on that?" he said trying to lighten the mood.

Hailey laughed, grateful for his distraction. "You're too good to me, Kevin," she said softly with a smile, closing her eyes as she relaxed in his arms. "I'd need to go back to the city for a few days...give my boss my resignation, talk to my landlord and deal with my apartment," she started, then nodded. "And then I'm gonna come back and start life as a country girl."

he smiled, "That sounds nice, but what are you going to do for work?" he asked, "I mean even If I could afford it, something tells me you're not the Kept woman type." he said, "I just can't imagine you staying home, keeping house and raising a brude of children. Somehow not your style." he said, "Oh I'm sure you'll make a great mother some day that's not it, but you get what I mean." he said finishing his sandwich and reaching for the bag of chips.

"God...I'd never expect to stay home while you supported me," she said with a laugh, though she blushed a bit when he said she'd be a good mother. "If the city wasn't two hours away, I'd keep my job and just commute...but it's too much of a haul for one day," she said, knowing she'd never be able to spend 4 hours a day in a car. "Maybe I can find a job in town...even if it's waitressing or something to begin with," she added as she finished her sandwich, wanting to find a way to make everything work.

"We might have a position at the ranch, I mean there's got to be a pencil pusher somewhere helping that place run, maybe they need help?" he said smiling, "I'd say you could apply at the strip club in the next town over, but I'd be too jealous I think." he said with a smile.

"I can handle a job like that," she said with a smile, then laughed a little when he mentioned the strip club. "Mmm...no thanks. I'm not too thrilled about the idea of men pawing and throwing money at me," she said with a laugh, then leaned back so she could look at him. "Strip club, huh?" she teasingly asked with a raised brow, as if realizing he was going somewhere he shouldn't be.

He laughed, "Yeah I've been there a time or two." he said blushing a little, "C'mon one was for a bachelor party." he said, "And one was a business meeting, tells you what kinda guys I work with." he said with a laugh, "Something tells me their wives didn't know where that particular dinner meeting was held." he said with a laugh.

She laughed, resting her head back against his shoulder. "Something tells me they don't know either," she said with a smile, looking out at the stream. "I think we can make this work...I know for a fact that I'd never be able to leave you and go back to the city," she murmured, opting to leave off 'again' from the end of the sentence. That was in the past, and she knew that she she wanted to stay with him for as long as possible.

"Good, I really didn't want to kidnap you... dealing with ropes gets anoying, and don't even get me started on gags... mind you they have their place but yeah, quite an inconvenience." he said with a smile hugging her again.

"You're crazy," she said with a laugh, a big smile on her face as he hugged her. "It would take quite a lot for you to manage tying me up," she teased, giving his hand a squeeze.

"Oh really now?" he said easily capturing her wrists and holding them in one hand, "Are we so sure about that?" he said with a small smirk, "Or do you mean hard on me emotionally?" he teased.

She laughed as he grabbed her wrists, trying to twist them out of his grasp. "I meant that if I'd been ready, you wouldn't have been able to do that," she told him with a grin, tilting her head back to kiss his neck.

"Riiiiiiight." he said drawing out the word, "Do I need to prove you wrong?" he asked chuckling at her kissing her on the cheek.

She laughed, turning her head to brush her lips against his. "What...did you pack a rope or something in that basket when I wasn't looking?" she asked with a raised brow, then shook her head. "Actually...don't tell me...I'm probably better off not knowing," she teased. "But yeah...I'd like to see you try," she said with a grin.

"Oh riiiight you know me... regular captain kink here." he said sarcastically. "Wait till I get my riding crop too." he teased.

She rolled her eyes, shaking her head a little. "Lucky for you, I take pity on crazy people," she teased, grinning at him.

"Oh? Don't like being tighed up?" he teased kissing her lips softly once again, "Guess that ruins one fantasy." he teased.

"Mmm...I don't remember saying that," she teased with a laugh, returning his soft kiss. "One fantasy? Does that mean there are others?" she asked teasingly, smirking at him.

"Mmm, and maybe there is, and... just maybe you've already made a couple come true this weekend." he said softly.

"Glad I could help," she told him with a grin, smiling as she gave him another kiss. "So...any we can make come true out here?" she asked teasingly, resting her head back against his shoulder as she looked at their surroundings.

"I'm sure." he said smiling, "And can you guess which one you might have made come true?" he asked curiously seeing if she could guess.

She closed her eyes for a few moments, thinking back to their time together the night before and that morning. "Hmm...for ones we might have done, I'm thinking either in the shower last night or this morning at the kitchen table," she murmured, then opened her eyes and looked around. "As for ones we could do...I'm gonna guess in the stream, on these rocks, or even in that meadow," she added, tilting her head to grin at him.
