When is danger sexy and when is it scary?

I've been trying to write a bit about danger in my stories. Just some quick words about my bias: I'm a submissive straight male interested in exploring humiliation, mostly from the idea of having to watch as your mom fucks other men as a complete slut.

Anyway, in moving forwards from the initial shock of humiliation, I've wanted to incorporate sincere danger. I want the characters in my stories (a sexy mother and her son, really) to be put in a threatening and scary situation that will really be arousing for me as the author and for readers who share my interests.

However, I'm having trouble figuring out how to make danger sexy instead of scary. For example, while I would love the idea of a man telling the mom-son duo that he is going to kill them if the mom doesn't let him knock her up, there is such a huge part of me that knows how serious violence against women and rape is. Is it possible to create a menacing villain whose threats and danger is thrilling instead of disturbing?

I tried to write about this in one of my stories, Danielle's Legacy. In the story, a mother becomes a pro-sex pro-porn radical feminist, and when her son is accused of rape, she is vicious and cruel to him in a way I found very arousing. However, it seems most readers did not find this to be the case.

In another story, A Fairy Tale, a gorgeous trapped maiden is so sexy that even the animals of the forest declare their lust for her, but she is vicious and cruel and eats them with no remorse and wears their pelts on her body. Here, the main complaint was that the story wasn't sexual enough. I guess readers didn't see the submissive horny animals as stand-ins to themselves and so her actions weren't really very cruel.

Anyway, right now I'm in the middle of writing a standard story about a resort in which guests pay to be either male traders or female slaves in a consensual role playing game where their money goes to a charity to stop real sex trafficking. However, I want to introduce a rogue player who genuinely takes the mom and son into his possession (the son has been given a lower status than slave and tied by his wrist to his mom the slave's waist) and puts them in a threatening position. I'm having trouble, however, determining how to make him genuinely threatening while not being off putting.

Hope this topic can spark some helpful discussion.

To me it's all about consequences. If the consequences are not that harmful, or merely embarrassing, the danger is sexy.

Public sex in a park where getting caught means a fine and some embarrassment -- sexy
Public sex in a park where getting caught means getting beaten to death by skinheads -- scary

That sort of thing.

This is just my personal thing, but I think it's sexy when the person in the story is turned on by the danger. If they're in danger and it only scares them... not so sexy. If it turns them on... then story gets sexier.

While IRL I'm very against rape / violence against women / etc. and try to contribute to end it, here on the site I tend to write a lot of non-consent / reluctance stories, because I see it as a fantasy, and to me a lot of the sexiness of a fantasy is writing about things that aren't possible / advisable / good outside of the fantasy. I say write your story, and if you find it sexy then don't worry so much what the readers think. While writing is for them, it's also for you.

I frighten easily. I don't even go to scary movies because I have a nasty tendency to shoot back when terrified and the theater owners have no sympathy for all the holes in the screen. Sexy and scary don't fit in my outlook, at all!

And here is where I paraphrase the second amendment (apologies if you don't live in the US)

'The right to arm bears'

:D

I thought it was a summer fashion--as in bare arms--go sleeveless.

I dont frighten easily. The MMPI scores my anxiety potential at 1%, which makes the dead slightly less scared than I experience. In my youth I did some over the top dangerous work, and push myself to confront threats.

That said, about the scariest-sexy sex I've had is doing it in public, and doing it where theres a good chance of being caught. One time I squeezed a womans nipples in front of her husband; I expected a fight, and all he did was tell her, YOU ASKED FOR IT.

The scariest thing I did in my latest story, was having a group of women shaved with a straight razor. It's a truly dangerous thing, but the feedback said it was a major turn on.

Noooo!!!

Did the same in Sergeant Pepper Lays Down The Law, even though the first rule of straight razor shaving, as everyone knows is...."Always wear pants."
