I recently submitted a limerick to the Humor and Satire category. It was rejected with a request to submit it to the Poetry category.
A limerick is by definition humor (i.e., "...a light humorous, nonsensical or bawdy composition with five anapestic lines..."). With its satiric intent, tongue-in-cheek references and ribald content, I think it belongs in the humor category, rather than in the more serious poetry grouping.
What do you think? Take a look: Literotica Limerick
Thoughts or reactions on the appropriate category, or on the limerick itself are welcome.
