When I Was a Kid....

WIWAK, well, when I was younger, anyway, my last visit to a drive in movie theater was in 1986, when The Hooters filmed their music video for the song "And We Danced" at the closest drive in to us....and then they tore the drive in down and put up a strip mall. :(

But yeah...I'm in that video somewhere. Wearing a shirt that said "Party Naked." Go figure.

WIWAK I would refuse naps and fight bed time. I would like to make up for all those missed naps now. Please?
 
WIWAK, professional athletes didn't get paid millions of dollars.

WIWAK, they played hockey because of the love of the game, not for the paycheck.
 
WIWAK i played street hockey until either ma called you in or it was too dark to see the ball/puck. I can't remember the last time I saw a group of kids taking over a street for a game
 
WIWAK.. we talked on the one phone we had in the house. It was in the kitchen.. attached to the wall. You knew your mother liked your boyfriend if she attached the extra long curly cord that would let you stretch it 20 feet to the bathroom where you could have privacy.. knowing that your mother was standing outside the door.
 
WIWAK ....I worried that I would grow up to be the woman my mother always wanted and intended for me to be. I was right, and I am and I am simply not happy about that at all anymore.
 
WIWAK I memorized the entire script of Labyrinth. I can still recite most of it verbatim and Jareth still makes my heart race.

WIWAK after staying home sick from school you had to take a note to the teacher (now you call them or email the teacher - I was actually looking forward to that when I became a parent.)
