they stop working.

Does this happen to you?

Lance "Damien" Castor

OMG! Yes!

Well actually it seems to happen when I drive under them. I noticed a while ago, but let it go. The other day I was with a friend who has been in the car with me several times, after driving under a street light and it went out he looked at me and said "You know, I noticed that that happens a lot to you. Ever wondered why?" That is when it suddenly hit me that it wasn't my imagination.

It happens to me in cars as well...has for decades.

There's a light across the street from my house that works fine except when I go under it late at night by myself on foot.

Pleased to meet you StrawberryPez, hope you guessed my name.

Lance

and here I thought it was only my town trying to conserve energy.

It's a street light conspiracy!

Yes, both walking and driving...

Electric watches never used to work on me for more than a month or two either...

You realize what this means?

We are all Pod People. Lit must be one of the places we are to meet before we take over the world...

No, but my dad had a dog once who barked at street lamps.

Used to freak me out.

Hi everybody.

Hmmm. A Pod People Retreiver no doubt. Nice dogs.

Yep, of the golden variety. Been the family dog for decades now, althought not the same one.

I'm thinking of switching breeds though. All that hair is getting to me.

It's about time that this wierd Lit attraction makes sense. It must be born into us Pod people. We just know to come to lit instinctively. :D

or something like that.

I got sick of the hair also... so we now keep Sara shaved. Cuts down on the hair I have to clean up.. and also on the mats in her feathers.

The street light thing. Hmmmmm. Must be voodoo. Oh wait. It is a thermal switch.

Nah. Not so simple. Or they would all be continuously flicking on and off everytime a car or person goes underneath. Takes the intense thermal signature, the red hot sexuality of a Lit pod person growing within to set those babies off...

Last night. And yes, it is the full moon that triggers the growth of your Lit pod seed. You will be noticing a number of mental and physical changes over the coming days, as your former life shrivels, and you hunch over a keyboard, doing nothing but chatting with sexually overcharged addicts from around the world. Nothing you can do to fight it, just lay back enjoy it, and let the Pod take over...

What would you become? I wouldn't change you for anything.

*smiles*

Well, I won't change, but I do have my eye on a particular Newfie. I've always loved the giant breeds.

Freaky, I've thought about doing that, but she's too vain. Retired show dog, ya know.

I don't have much trouble with streetlights, but I have a lot of trouble with those damm automatic faucets in public restrooms. It's unpleasant to have soap on your hands and the faucet won't turn on. Half of the time, I just wait for someone else to activate one, and use their water when they are done. I do the same thing with hand dryers.

Just so you know, restroom mirrors do work for me. Thank God that they are manually operated. ;)
