When faced with a disease you do not understand.

I was having some stiffness and pain in the joints in my hands for around a month. Last week I went to the DR and he had some blood work ordered. I had a follow up appointment today where he did some nerve tests as a precaution due to a pretty severely painful condition I already have.

The fucker told me he tested me for Lupus and I almost lost my shit and thought about this thread.

Not sure if you are joking ;) I have tested positive twice for lupus and had the markers. They did further testing and it was negative, although I do have an auto-immune issue.

Not joking at all. I have Neuralgia which so far is isolated in my feet so any joint pain freaks me out. The reason this thread is a joke is because Lupus is rare in males and the OP spelled it LUPAS several time so you know he was attention whoring.

Sorry to hear that. I have RA or PA, they really don't know. I understand the joint pain. Keep active if you can, it helps me.
Maybe LUPAS is a special kind of disease?! Ha

well, for awhile he pretended to be his own best friend and next door neighbor who just happened to be exactly like him in every single way including his occasional psychotic episodes where he accused random people of conspiring against him, so... yeah. he is apparently not here now, though. my guess is he either got help, got himself committed or he killed himself.

i'm only half joking, btw. i sincerely think he was mentally ill. he was just too damned weird. i mean it might have been an act, sure, but... no, i think dude was just a nutjob.

Yeah, RA was also looked into. The doctor asked if I grind my teeth in my sleep, which I do. Apparently people who grind their teeth also clinch their hands while sleeping can cause RA like pain

I totally agree. Seadaddy was his "neighbor" and he fixed his fences and burned his trash or some shit. I'd say, crazy+act=dead.
 
My mom was diagnosed with lupus for a time, because of the pain she was in. They eventually figured out she was having a rare allergic reaction to ibuprofen. She would be in pain, so she would take ibuprofen, which increased the pain, so she took more ibuprofen. It was just a never ending cycle until her doctor realized and told her to quit taking it.
