When did you figure out what you wanted to be when you "grew up"? How did you know that was "it" for you? Are you still figuring it out? Did it change?

I THINK I know

I wanna be in movies. Not an actor, but in the business. I think, despite the stalkers and weirdos, being well known by LOTS off people is a GREAT thing. At first I wanted to be a comedian, then I wanted to play for the Yankees.

when i was little, i wanted to be a teacher. then a few years later, i wanted to be a junkie. after i got into high school, i wanted to be an actress, then a chef. and towards the end of my junior year of high school, i decided i'd do sumthin i'm good at, math and science. so i'm going to be an engineer.

Haven't figured it out yet..

Haven't grown up yet either. I mean, I'm only 30, there's plenty of time.

When I was 8, I spent hours pretending I was the teacher. My grandfather helped me immensely by bringing home one of the chalkboards from my school while it was being renovated.

When I hit high school, I listened to those people that said I should do something "MORE" and then adolescent rebellion hit when my peers started saying "Of course, she'll be a teacher."

Less than 2 years after graduating from college, I was in a teaching situation. I am a teacher, figuring it out was really just a matter of accepting it.

I didn't have a clue till I hit high school and new that I wanted to do something in the medical field and after about 14yr i became a nurse

When I saw my first movie involving a courtroom

:p

Umm....I still haven't figured out....

I'm just taking the path that is convenient.....

IN COLLEGE

After wasting a couple of years in college and majoring in what I thought I wanted to get into.......Accounting. I wanted the stress and responsibilities of handling accounts and making sure that every penny in the ledgers are accurate. Then it hit me......I already had a God given talent. WRITING I had already ignored one of my high school teachers suggestions about becoming a writer and until then, never gave it a second thought. Now, over 20 years later, I am a writer. Well, almost........I write stories on Literotica.

What am I anyway?

In middle school I knew I would a be a music teacher.

In college, I knew I would be an elementary school teacher.

At 24, I was an elementary school teacher and

at 26 decided I wanted to be a social worker. And here I sit, looking over the financial picture to see if and when I can return to college....

11 years of social work and I am ready for a change....again!

I hope you get a chance to go back MissTaken! I have and I know I am on my way to securing what I find great pleasure in and where it will lead. I was there and gave it up because I knew I had bigger ideas and the need to make sure I would get there and beyond.

I still...

...don't know. So far, I've just figured out what I DON'T want to be.

I mean, 3 years ago, if you'd told me I'd be writing erotica, I would have looked at you over the tops of my tortoiseshell horn rims, loosend the cuffs on my Brooks Brother shirt, and given you a stern talking to!
