Could you expand on this a little more. I'm not familiar with any of the references you made, and I'm sure I'm not the only one here who isn't. Also, what exactly did you have in mind with a wheel? Some sort of time travel or a game of chance?

the wheel of time is a fantasy book series by Robert Jordan, very popular, and i highly recommend reading it. it is a very complicated world and would take more than a little bit of time to explain. it is a 10 book series so far, each book being 900 to 1000 pages. i hope that helps.

Ah, Robert Jordan, I understand now. He's an excellent writer; I have a collection of his Conan stories.

I think a series of stories involving characters from other literary subjects could be very interesting. One thing to definitely watch out for would be that the characters didn't stray too far from their originals. Fans of the original characters would pick up on this immediately and would be disappointed. If the stories with the other characters were done well it would be a huge success but if they were done poorly and didn't stay true to their origins all you would be looking at would be a train wreck.

I don't think you need worry about this. Plagiarists who steal other writers' hard work developing characters and locations usually do it because they are too idle (or too stupid) to develop their own; therefore they won't think up character changes either.

Another reason plagiarism isn't really a problem is because if they did deviat from the original story, it wouldn't be NEARLY as good as how Jordan has set up the world from the Wheel of Time.

If i have the time or motivation, i might try my hand at writing a couple of Wheel of Time erotic stories, but i'd much rather have someone who is more experienced in the art of composition to take on the task. We'll just see what happens.

Uhh, Terry BROOKS writes the Shannara books. Terry GOODKIND writes the Sword of Truth. And then there's Terry PRATCHETT, who writes the Discworld books.

^ I was going to mention the Mord-Sith and the sex, but I decided against it because it felt like saying "read this awesome fantasy series not because it kicks your ass, but so you can masturbate furiously."

And yes, Boondock Saints rules. If you liked the movie, and you haven't seen Fight Club already, do so... it's a great flick too, and if you like one, you're guaranteed to like the other.

I haven't seen any WoT erotica either, but I, like you, can see the potential. I don't know if I'd ever write any though. If I ever do decide to write erotica, it's going to be completely my own stuff. I'd feel unfulfilled if I had to kick-start my own vision with that of someone else.

I would read it though, if someone were to write it.
