I just bought the tenth book of the Wheel of Time series, title, "Crossroads of Twilight" It was just released today, and it is 678 pages long, hardback. Wish me luck.

Oh you lucky bastard. I am broke right now and will have to wait until I get it as a Birthday gift.

Read well, my friend.

I'm afraid that Jordan has lost me in a tangle of byzantine plot lines, flowery setting prose, and a cast of extras that would empty any average Midwestern town. :)

I never made it through "Winter's Heart".

I once started that series
but that fuckhead jordan can't figure out a decent schedule to release his series in, not to mention working on other projects between books.
You dont write a series, leave cliffhanger endings and wait three years to write the next book while publishing two different stories.

Ezarc: Ha Ha Ha..... though tat's probably a good thing. What you should do is read all the other books to give yourself a refresher course on the world... It's been three years, and I'm constantly going Who is that? where is that? What signifigance does that have?

JazzManJim: True enough, but that's what I like about him... I hate books that are easy to follow, that are just read once and forget books. To truly appreciate Jordans novels, you need to read them several times over to get every little nuance of plot. And Winters Heart was great.... you HAVE to try again, the end makes it SO worth it... I remember reading it and at the very end saying "WHAT! THEY DID THAT! AND NOW I HAVE TO WAIT! ARGHHHHH!!!!!" Needless to say, a VERY interesting and POWERFUL plot twist is thrown in... so I'm excited now...

Aquila: you're hardly the first person I've heard say that. Jordan is not a novelist for everyone. He's along the lines of Tolkien as with regards to detail and names that leave you scratching your head, and he DOES take like... two or three years to write a fucking book, which DOES kind of piss me off, but I've yet to be disappointed by his books. They are LONG, which I love a great deal, they are intersting and developed.... If he DIDN'T take as long to write a book, I'm sure the books wouldn't be as well developed as they are...
