I'm all for the Chinese people to do whatever they can to rid themselves of the Chinese Communist Party before it's too late...
...but if the Chinese people aren't up to that, then they richly deserve the negative fate that naturally awaits all of Communist China.
Good, though, that they do force-feed you lemmings plenty of table scraps to keep your minds otherwise irrelevantly occupied...

Is that where Mothra came from? If so, I say that it belongs to Japan. He caused a shit ton of damage for a big ass moth. Usually, they just get in the door, fly around for a day and then die behind the sofa. But not this fucker. Nope, he sprays some fucking yellow powder on your ass to kill you. I mean, he leveled Tokyo. Tokyo. We sent a hundred thousand tons of fire bombs over there, and they didn't even have a giant lizard to help them. A moth. This might just be a rumor, but I heard that they were seeking complete dominance over the Pacific fishing channels. Apparently, they're trying to eliminate their competitor's fleet.

Wake up. They have no more claim than the Chinese do. The OP is basing his assertion on the fact that there is a Chinese word for the area.
The fact of the matter is that this has little to do with 'fishing' and more to do with minerals, energy related minerals to be more specific. Not all together different than the pissing contest over the Spratelys, which are claimed, respectively, by the Chinese, Viet Namese, the Phillipines, and Indonesia. Why? Well they're 'traditional' fishing grounds. The fact that they've found oil there is only a trivial aside.

The Chinese claim the discovery and control of the islands from the 14th century.
Japan controlled the islands from 1895 until its surrender at the end of World War II.
The United States administered them as part of the United States Civil Administration of the Ryukyu Islands from 1945 until 1972, when the islands reverted to Japanese control under the Okinawa Reversion Treaty between the United States and Japan.
The islands are an issue in foreign relations between Japan and China and between Japan and Taiwan.
Despite the complexity of relations between the China and Taiwan, both governments agree that the islands are part of Taiwan as part of Toucheng Township in Yilan County.
Japan does not officially recognize Taiwan as a sovereign state, and regards the islands as a part of Ishigaki, Okinawa Prefecture and acknowledges neither the claims of the China nor Taiwan to the islands.
The Japanese government has not allowed Ishigaki to develop the islands.
My standpoint is to shrug.
America should have considered this further before handing it over to Japan.

Sounds to me like a made to order three way deal to me.
The Russians give the Sakhalin's back to the Japanese, the Japanese relinquish all claim to the Sekalu's and the Chinese relinquish all claims to Eastern Siberia.
What do you think the odds are?

Won't fly. There are half a million Russians and practically no Japanese, any more, in the Sakhalins. The Senkaku/Diaoyu/Tiaoyutai/Pinnacle Islands at least do not present the problem of being inhabited.
