One of my favorites is about a girl who gets mistreated by her boss at the tavern and likes to venture to lake in the woods for a bath. Everyone else in the village thinks the woods are strange except for her, and one day she meets and elf, and I think we all know what happens after. I like my plots and subject matter and think my writing style flows and conveys the essential information while having a little poetry in it's soul. That said, I've still got a long way to go in improving my writing and I'm certainly not the best author I've read.

Yeah...'Culture Shock' is absolutely amazing. I like a lot of Sir_Nathan's other stories, but that one is definately the best. Outside of lit Bertrice Small's 'Private Pleasures' is also a great read, geared more to women then men, but that works for me

no links- sorry, kinda new to the discussion board, but my favorites are Charles Petersunn, Slickman, TheSparkzone, MCFbridge TX tall tales and dsloan. I have to admit I was a little surprised that only one of those (TXTalltales) has been mentioned on this thread already.

Just found a new short series that was really good- "A dish best served naked"
slow at first, but very good.

My all time favorite author is still Al Steiner on that other site (really long stories- and the only ones I can think of where I've ever "fast-forwarded" through the sex scenes to get to the story.)

No links because I'm exhausted and doubt I could manage to pull off something that complicated without breaking something at this point.

I have to echo so many nods to Danielle, Selena, slyc, and Evil Alpaca. To that I'll add mack the knife, Aurora Black, Fallingtofly, and RedHairedandFriendly - off the top of my head.

It's got a lot to do with me having the chance to write her too, but Laresa is the character that stands out more in my head than any other from another author. Red's vision in creating Laresa was pure brilliance.

Storywise, probably Aurora's Bitter Harvest. No longer on the site, but that one absolutely absorbed me. I warned her that they'd posted it early before the start of the contest just a few minutes too early. I'd already made it to the next to the last page before her "Yikes!" PM made it to Laurel and I had to wait until midnight to read the ending.

I'm going to have to say my three favorites are Daniellekitten for her ASP series, secretme for Leader of the Pack, and DragonTattoo for her Venusian stories. I sat and read Leader of the Pack over a period of like 8-9 hours straight (Two days, slept, woke up on a Sunday, ate breakfast, and continued). The others I check every day for new chapters.
