movie erotic moment?
Premiere magazine recently published their “100 Greatest Movie Moments” and like all lists, it’s a pretty subjective one. But it got me thinking about some of my favorite movies and for some reason (maybe cause I’m just a perv at heart) I began to ponder my favorite erotic movie moments.
And I thought it might be interesting to find out what your favorites were, too.
Before we start, a couple of rules: Legitimate movies only, please. No porn or late-night Zalman King extravaganzas on Showtime or Cinemax. Also, for the purposes of this discussion, an erotic moment can be any moment during a movie that strikes you as sexy or hot. It doesn’t even have to have any ‘sex’ in it.
Some examples might range from the sensuality of Robert Redford washing Meryl Streep’s hair in Out of Africa to the soft-core porn of Marlon Brando and the infamous ‘butter’ scene in Last Tango in Paris. Maybe it’s the same-sex thrill of Selma Blair and Sarah Michelle Gellar swapping tongues in Cruel Intentions or Meg Tilly finger-fucking Gina Gershon in Bound.
See? Lots of possibilities.
I’ll start with one of my favorites, the skinny-dipping scene in Doc Hollywood. We first see Lou (Julie Warner) as a darkened silhouette against the morning sky. Standing waist-deep in the water she turns, giving us a glimpse of a lovely, full breast and then she splashes water on herself and her nipple grows by at least an inch, swelling and elongating in a hard bud. A few moments later, Ben Stone (Michael J. Fox) stumbles out of the cabin where he’s spent the night and the first sight to greet him is her, rising like Venus out of the water. The camera stares so long and so lovingly at her breasts in this scene that I’m not sure how the movie managed to hang on to its PG-13 rating.
It’s a cute, funny movie and worth watching for a number of reasons. But when this movie moment comes up, I can’t help but watch with a little ‘extra’ attention.
