Hi boys

Favorite is just such a hard word...

While I have trouble picking any one film as my "favorite movie" (in whispersecret's perfect movie thread, I couldn't get below 20), still - there is one movie that has never left me since I saw it.

Life is Beautiful

It took me through EVERY emotion from laughter to tears and often both at the same time. There are many films I can watch over and over and still enjoy for their own reasons(the perfect movie thread only shows a sampling) but this one never fails to dominate my thoughts whenever anyone speaks of "favorite movies."

The only thing which is even close to a runner-up (and which I completely forgot in the perfect movie thread) is Swingers. Most of my friends are guys, and it was as though I was watching THEM...no other movie that I've seen has ever gotten the guys of my generation so dead-on-balls accurate. But this is such a distant second...

So....

Life is Beautiful
Swingers

And then All About Eve and The Lion in Winter and The Princess Bride ...and...

MP ;)

LMFAO

How the fuck can you two be so damn funny while I remain this inept? Share damn it.

This thread always rears its head every few months.. I love it.. hehe

Princess Bride
Gattica
Chasing Amy
Total Recall
Gladiator
5th Element
Sleeping Beauty
Field of Dreams
Indiana Jones... Star Wars.. Back to the Future
Any cheesy chick flick ("10 things I hate about you, Pretty in Pink, Breakfast club, etc. etc.")

top ten in no particular order

Urban Cowboy
Dangerous Liasons
Sea of Love
Tombstone
My Dog Skip
Life Is Beautiful - just saw it for the first time about 2 weeks ago and it is FANtastic
Legends of the Fall
Queen Margot
The Green Mile
The Lion King (smile)

p.s. MP- I saw Swingers at the theater with my best friend. It was only at the theater for about 3 days before it went into videoland.. but it was a good film! The scene where the guy leaves a message on the girl's answering machine was absolutely painful to watch. hehe

My 2 cents...
