Regardless of the views/votes/comments you receive, which category gives you the most pleasure to write in?

For me, it would definitely be BDSM.

It's not a widely read category, but writing those types of stories are so much fun. There are endless possibilities for build-up. You can use any type of character in the book, and with any scenario.

Plus the sex scenes are so much fun. There's a lot to work with, especially with the build up. You could have blindfolds, bondage, ect... Then for the sex, you could have group, multiple people. Then of course there's the whole dom/sub thing, which gives a lot more to write about.

I guess incest, I like trying to come up with story lines that make it plausible to some extent.

Mature is a fun one too so I guess for me its all bout mom's either my characters mom or some other mom they know.

But I think this is cyclical as time goes on, I had a phase where I write a bunch of group stories, then the shine wore off and I moved onto mature. Incest has been a constant here for me.

One type of story I've written a few spins on is combining bondage(more erotic than BDSM) and incest. I've thought about putting them all together in an anthology called "Family Ties" but then I would get complaints from all the people looking for Alex P Keaton:rolleyes:

Gay Male, obviously, in this account name. I'd break that down more by category as those who post straight stories here (e.g., romance, erotic couple, first time, etc.), but GM doesn't subdivide by category here like the straight stories do.

Sci-Fi&Fantasy. Not that you can tell from this pen name :p

I always get more enjoyment out of writing those, and read back through them far more often than I do any of my other stuff, even though pretty much anything else gets more readers.

I just write stories - and leave it to someone else to decide which category it should go in. :)

The categories here don't make sense to me, so it's hard to answer.

Most of my stories turn into love stories and talk about the extremes people will go to, good and bad, to get there. In Roommate, it's the girl who had to do all the changing and adapting to meet the demands of an unyielding male. In Job it's the guy who does all the changing. Everyone's always learning something, discovering something. There isn't a category for Insight.

Maybe Fantasy/SciFi. It's fun using unusual backgrounds to show that regardless of setting, humanity is a constant, never straying far from the biology that defines us.

Definitely, Loving Wives. My favorite as a reader and a writer.

I can't stand to read the fetish categories where the stories are full of dog whistles for fetishists (BDSM, Incest, E&V, etc) I think all the NonCon readers and writers should be on appropriate gun and travel Watch Lists. GM sex squicks me out. Romance puts me to sleep. Mind Control is mindless. Erotic Horror is meh. SF is too full of zillion chapter epics. If I can't read the category, I certainly can't write for it.

I did one called BDSM for Dummies, but that was a one-trick pony for me.

So, LW it is.

Heh! Tell us how you really feel!

I like Romance, sci-fi/fantasy, and anything comedic. Serials are a plus.

I agree as they should be standing there watching the barrel of one.;)

The LW readers should never be allowed to buy firearms. They will either shoot their wives/ex wives and their loversor kill themselves after a day of reading stories here.

M/M romance (with either a paranormal or scifi bend). Next year I'm going to try to include M/M contemporary romance... which isn't something I do a lot of. *shrugs* We'll see how it goes lol.

You already do M/M extremely well.

Erotic Encounters, although my story file suggests otherwise. Sprinklings elsewhere, because the primary subject matter was an obvious fit into a specific category.

It's Erotic Couplings for me: strong settings and characters, and hot sex. I've also written Exhibitionism and First Times. I do want to write for Group, Anal and TS, and I don't think Incest, Non-Con or LW are going to get anything from me. Otherwise it's all a bit of mix. The story ideas take the lead, and only then do I fit them to a category.

Non-con/reluctance and and bdsm are the top two categories I like to read. Preferable with sci-fi/fantasy, historical, non-human and/or romance elements in the mix.

I did briefly get into a stint of reading gay male erotica a few years ago when I found nomoretears00 series. That was a testament to her story than an original interest in the genre because I was utterly hooked and then unhooked. Yaoi did give me ideas though.

Historical romance under a non-con/reluctance umbrella was my first (terrible) attempt at writing erotica. My second attempt branched out into non-human, but continued under a historical/non-con umbrella. I managed to wriggle myself into an even smaller niche. :D

I imagine myself shifting with what my favourite genre to write in will be a few years from now. Historical gets boring after a while... even the non-con/reluctance theme, but still at the moment, it's my favourite to write.

I think all the NonCon readers and writers should be on appropriate gun and travel Watch Lists.

That would be me then. :p

My favorite category is the one which fits the story I'm working on.

Seems a tad unfair. All the (overwhelmingly female) readers I know of noncon/reluctance stories are exceedingly sweet, and there don't seem to be a lot of male readers in that category at all. The typical stereotype is that anyone reading noncon is automatically a mouth-breathing, violence-craving male. But as far as I can tell the set of males interested in that watch the specific brand of porn that caters to that and don't read for their kicks. Which suits me just fine.

LW is the set that creeps me out, so back atcha.

Well, my own wife liked playing with dicks, so I figured how bad can it be? I never used the term "cocksucker" in a disparaging way 'cuz I didn't want her to think it was a bad thing. And I'm not homophobic as half my relatives are gay, and they're generally the only ones I can stand to be around for an entire meal. But the idea of GM sex gives me the same feeling I get when I think of eating cooked spinach or brussel sprouts. Other people doing it doesn't bother me. "Smoke 'em if you got 'em", is fine with me.

I won't tell.

Probably more than a tad. I don't know anyone who reads noncon, male or female, so feel free to exclude yourself or anyone you know from any watch lists.

I really enjoy Romance. I think some of my romance stories are strongly leaning into BDSM but the core is about romance. I sorta wish there was a way to do sub-categories.

I have wanted to write an incest story but I can't make one plausible enough to be hot for me to write. I guess it doesn't have to be realistic but I just can't get it to launch.

I agree on LW. Not a non con fan, but I see it as a kink in fact I can see everything here as its kink regardless of whether or not I identify with it

The 'kink' in LW? Extreme humiliation of husbands to the point that even as much of a man hater as I am, I think its way over the top , the other side is extreme violence against women to the point it makes non con look like feminism and also violence against men who are the lovers of the cheating wives.

In general LW's kink is pure hate, its not sexual at all, its revenge driven hate and mayhem.

And if any audience here breathes through their mouths(and types with hooves) it would be that category.

The only story I have in non con drew decent enough remarks as in thought out, not just spew, and seemed 'friendly' in general. The only ones I received I didn't like were ones saying the MC should have just raped her and not let her make the choice. I guess that's a faction there that wants 'real rape' in the stories, but for the most part my story did okay over there.

(This is tagged to the whole thread, not the preceding post). It's interesting in how, when a "what do you like thread" is posted here, some posters go directly to disparaging what others like.
