I just watched "The Court Jester" again. I can't decide if I like that one or "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" the best.

Decisions, decisions.

Danny Kaye totally rocks.

White Christmas, although he costarred, it's still my fav.

It's all about the Court Jester. I didn't like Walter Mitty because of the way it differed from the actual story.

I'm with Pyper. Besides, nothing will ever beat the "pellet with the poison's in the flagon with the dragon. the chalice from the palace holds the brew that is true" sketch.

I agree, it's hard to improve on Thurber.

I liked "Hans Christian Anderson", when I was in grade school, I saw a 16mm print in the school gym. Bet the nuns didn't know her was buggering Sir Larry O.

I remember seeing it in junior high and wondering how an old movie could be so funny.

When I was young I loved The Inspector General, but I haven't seen it in years. I ought to watch it again and see how it holds up.

The Court Jester....it's the "The vessel with the pestle has the pellet with the poison..." thats the big kicker....

Not a Danny Kaye fan, inspite of sharing the same birthday... except for The Court Jester...

His wife Sylvia Fine wrote all the words for the songs and rhymes... Talented lady... :)

I feel almost horribly deprived now...

I can't recall seeing ANY Danny Kaye movie - EVER! I almost said 'Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory', then I remembered that was Gene Wilder!

What little I know about him came from a Reader's Digest article written after his death (which makes me feel more deprived...)
